They are definitely working on the traffic with people like Kai (AIG) who has added his input, but they certainly have some work to do. As for the rest, I can see them starting to slow down now. They only ever release WU details so far ahead, but I am definitely looking forward to Colombia - superb scenery, and we should get 6 Sim updates, of which I expect the usual mix of bug fixes and new features. My settings seem very close to yours - 4k ultra except for clouds high (like yours), shadows on 6144 in the user config, both LODS at 250 (one from the user config to reach that setting). DLSS Balanced (I really can see the difference between this and the DLSS quality setting at 4k, it still looks stunning, but gives back some extra frames). Photogrammetry off, mainly because I have a slower internet connection and it makes everything look melted! I ramped up to 60fps vsync in sim recently with the 13900, and it can hold it in most circumstances and is silky smooth. I wouldn't expect 60fps over London in say the PMDG 737, but it only just dips under. I have no AI traffic enhancement running at the moment. Other than that, our hardware specs are very close on virtually everything. The only thing majorly different now is the CPU. I just swapped to a 13900KF at a decent price, and my 12900K is currently up on Ebay and I am hoping to get well over £300 back for that. So it can be a cost effective upgrade, as the 13900 is performing a fair bit better than I expected. You may want to consider it as a simple swap-in upgrade on your 690Z motherboard (might just need a quick bios upgrade like mine did). I will tell you why this made a big difference. At my current settings, my 3080Ti (not overclocked) was only at 80% most of the time at 60fps, showing it still had headroom. And my set-up was nearly where I wanted it, but just getting the odd stutter here and there so I wasn't quite happy. On launching task manager, on the performance tab, I noticed my 12900K was topping out on two threads when I had the stuttering (probably on what they call main thread(s)). They were flat lining at the top. Putting a 13900KF in now (cheaper than a K and I don't need the inbuilt graphics), the two main threads never top out (running about 90% at highest), and thus no stuttering. So my hardware change made a difference as well, but all I can report is that, with my settings, in DX11 or DX12, I am getting really pleasing performance with SU11 plus the recent update. I used to run 30fps silky smooth as obviously my system could easily cope, as yours should, but I find I need 60fps now when using my new head tracker, or it isn't a good experience when looking around - too flickery! My drivers are 526.98 by the way, but I wouldn't expect that much difference. We can take this to private mail if I can help you further, as you shouldn't get much stuttering with your setup at 30fps unless there is a configuration problem or some unoptimised scenery you use - you do get some that can have this effect. I had to bin DD Chicago recently as I was getting 15-20 fps in that area! Standard scenery with a few fs.to mods and Meigs Field, and it is back to 60. Interesting, Rob. I might upgrade to win 11 for a start. I don't have any scenery addons. Only extras I have are the Fenix A320, PMDG 737-700 and the WT CJ4 12.14. Not looking to upgrade my 12700K just yet! Only had it a few months.... Locked at 30 FPS, I'm not seeing any maxed threads (HT is on) Funny thing is, SU10 was smooth. Only big FPS hitter was ultra clouds, if it was a particularly cloudy area. Lot's to think about. i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Yes, it could be one of those silly little things hard to trace. All I can say about W11 is that it has been dead stable and no trouble for me, and includes a task scheduler purposely designed for the 12000 and 13000 series intel chips, which isn't in W10. That should help. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I have a pretty much identical system to yours and I am running Windows 11 Pro. When I built this PC in August I decided to go with Win 11 from the get go because I heard it had better support for the 12th Gen CPU's I tend to run the Ultra preset with clouds on high and one or two other settings turned down one notch. I also run a custom refresh rate of 50Hz on my 4K TV, Vsync - On in NVCP and lock the fps to 50 in Riva and this gives me a really smooth experience. I tend to fly the Fenix or PMDG but prefer smaller airports and for 95% of the time I can maintain a solid 50fps. With live traffic on the ground it can dip to mid 40's. Lately I have just been using FSLTL with live traffic turned off and using only the option of aircraft at the gate. I find the live traffic gets me Main thread limited. The other thing to consider is if you are staying locked at 30fps push your GPU settings as high as you can to stay GPU limited. Locked at 30 FPS you should be able to max out everything. I find Riva tuna makes a massive difference keeping the frame time very even resulting in smooth flight Let me know if you want to know any more about my settings. If you do decide to go for Win 11 do a fresh install. I know this isn't the best way to do it but I have other critical software that will take a couple of days to re-install and set up. I want to know whether that software runs under win 11 first, before going to all that trouble of a fresh install. It’s difficult to make conclusions with regards to smoothness whilst being in beta trials, remember you are in a bubble, separated from the servers which are typically getting hammered and imo a major reason for many of the stutters we get - which are as a result of data streaming issues. you are served by dedicated systems which are likely not under the same loads. It is a bit of a myth that a fresh install will run quicker - no evidence of this whatsoever.
