November 29, 20223 yr Got a mandatory 660Mb or so and 1.05Gb of stuff in the Content Manager (Australia and A310 Update). Looks like the A310 is still on beta?. November 29, 20223 yr Yes! The A310 update is really nice. Yesterday had my first trully rewarding flight, from LPPR to LPPT. If it wasn't for the fact that I (stupidly) decided to adhere strictly to default ATC, and arrived too high to the FAF, it would've been even better 🙂 Really - REALLY !!! - enjoying this A310! and MFS as a whole, OFC! November 29, 20223 yr The 310 is still in rough shape. Pressurization broken, TOD calculation broken, legs pages are tied together on both CDUs for some reason, speed restrictions are out of sequence. Back to the hangar it goes I guess.

In fact, it is the most stable my MSFS has ever been. I have been putting quite a few hours in lately and always had to quit out the sim when finished! So I guess you had no problems with default ATC crashing (locking up), CTD's, and the host of other issues people are reporting..😣 This one size fits all sim is failing because we have some users reporting no issues and the rest of us finding this update to be one of the more problematic updates to come along in awhile.. As of this latest update it seems the culprit of most of the issues is the excessive connection problems of the sim. I also think most people are happily flying around without any major problems (except AI traffic) and only a few are reporting crashes, most of those caused by mods installed and not the sim itself. Agreed. And also, MSFT collects telemetry from every copy of FlightSim. If a majority of users were experiencing CTDs, they would know about it. They have in the past apologized and rushed out hot fixes for botched updates. Or acknowledged server issues that caused CTDs. This one isn't like that. They did do a quick release to fix some issues with the A310 (which seems fine now), but I'm not seeing thousands of people complaining about CTDs on the official forums, here, or on reddit. Not saying that some people aren't having issues, but I don't think it's massively widespread.
November 29, 20223 yr I'm not on the beta but I had a very anoying freeze on the loading screen and that's gone after the latest patch. (my first stream of freezes/ctd's) in a long time. I'm happy with how it runs now. Rest of the problems will be solved in the future, I trust. I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

I found not installing the update properly can be at play with some of this. Going back to the community folder tamped down my CTD's considerably: 1. Move all Mods out the Community Folder 2. Delete the Community folder in the MSFS in stall path 3. Load the sim and let the sim recreate the Community Folder 4. Move all mods back to the newly created Community Folder 5. Restart the sim The cut down CTD's on my end by 90%.😐 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

Your seeing thousands of people complaining about 'Connection' issues (either that or we're not reading the same official forums). With SU11 those connection issues destabilize the sim more than was the case with SU10. A sim restart before each flight using the default flight planner seems to be best after this latest patch to insure you don't have problems. Should you encounter a disconnection issue all bets are off for some people. No, I don't use it very often, as it isn't very good, but when I have tried it, it has been alright. My last CTD was so far back I can't remember it. Worst I have had lately is failure to load due to some Carenado aircraft conflicting with an early beta, fixed in a quick update and all fine now.The sim obviously still has issues, like all sims do (find me a perfect one), but I don't know what the 'host of other issues' are that you refer to. The sim certainly has issues to be fixed with a lot of aircraft, ATC, and the AI traffic, but in general, it works for me, and I am enjoying it in the main - certainly the best sim I have had, and I have tried them all. It is certainly well worth what I have paid for it. Now, as for your attitude in your post, with the angry face and the misplaced blame directed towards other simmers testing the beta, if you want to help things, join the beta yourself and report them, but let me get one thing straight - I fly my sim the way I want to, not the way you might want me to, so if this whole thing, including a lot of absolutely free stuff, is stressing you out too much, just uninstall it - delete it. Don't bother with this 'one size fits all sim', go and find another sim that suits your purpose (good luck), and don't bring that kind of attitude towards me, almost like blaming beta testers because they don't spot the same issues that you might. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Just rename Community (temporarily), start MSFS and let it create a new Community folder, do the install, exit, remove the blank Community folder, change the name of your temporary folder back to Community, and restart MSFS. (Or better yet, use Addon Linker).
November 29, 20223 yr With this version, I have the return of the missing textures on the ground when I change view in the cockpit. Before the patch nothing, but earlier on LFBZ it was happening to me and it hadn't happened to me for a long time... This works on airport ground textures only.

Should you encounter a disconnection issue all bets are off for some people. Nah, I haven't seen thousands of complaints about connection issues on the FS Forum. Maybe it's not in General Discussion? Are you talking about this thread - https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/official-discussion-polls-40th-anniversary-edition-sim-update-11/554949/760? But that only has some 750 posts and many of those are from the same people, so maybe 200-300 people in the thread. There are always something like ~100-300 people that have issues with every update (not the same 100-300, though some particular users seem to be either unlucky or just like to complain). My point was that if it was a widespread issue affecting a 2 million user base, they would know about it. There's always going to be some people that are impacted but this is one of the smoother updates so far. And I've been using MSFS since the very first Alpha release.. there have been some terrible updates (was it SU 5 that had the bouncing airliners and the rapid hot fix?) Overall stability of the sim has drastically improved. If you're having issues, that obviously doesn't help you - but statistically speaking things are getting better. Anyway, I hope things get better for you and the sim stabilizes on your machine soon.

Yes, this is happening in DX12 mode for me as well. Works fine in DX11 so I switched back to that for now.
