After watching this I will be purchasing, to support a new dev team and  product.

Same here, I will buy it day one.   I am so glad there is life outside of avsim forums; what a misery it is on here; geez!  Stop the wining and predicting about the future of the product, there is simply no basis for predicting things you don't know about future system depth updates.

I don't know about it being a hatchet job and I just cannot see him being paid by PMDG at all, but TFDI didn't get this amount of hatred and they are asking for a lot more money for no product at all, yet over a 1000 people were perfectly happy with that.

Because TFDi didn‘t lie to no one. They said the aircraft is still far away from a possible beta state.
On the other side FSS says on their website their aircraft is perfectly viable for normal operations… which it is not. It cannot even fly from A to B thanks to MSFS‘ default LNAV. It‘s borderline unflyable in regards to navigation, AP etc.

Now THAT is what 737NGDriver critisised and rightly so - their false advertising is a criminal act, at least here in Germany. That‘s a whole other level than TfDI.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

You might be unable to predict things based on previous experience and data.  Everyone else with a head on his shoulders can clearly see if THIS is what they developed in 12 months (keep in mind they didn‘t even develop the interior/exterior model, it‘s ported from X-Plane)  with a team of 8 full time devs and 15 real life pilots, you will be waiting 10 years for a working navigation. Or most likely this is dead within a year. How about make a bet? If this has a working custom LNAV (like absolute basic stuff) in a year I‘ll buy it for you, if it doesn‘t you spend the 33 euros for an animal shelter?

I have better things to with my time to bet on if an add on app for flight simulator, which is a game, albeit a home simulator, has a certain kind of navigation autopilot availability in potential updates. Geez.

Indeed. This project reminds me of MK787 for XP11, 4 years of “ early access” and promised high fidelity and still a dumpster fire. Or BBS, forever early access and yet, nothing and more and more of such examples. Of course we are paranoid because of all those bad examples and this hostility was a natural reflex.

I hope FSS proves us wrong and they will indeed deliver what they promised, otherwise they will go down in history joining Captainsim’s group.

I was trying to tell you that you also have better things to do with your money than spending it on this trash, but I guess some people just like to be scammed.

Simmers don't let other simmers buy into "early access".

Has no one learned anything from the BlackBoxSimulation debacle?

OTOH, it seems a lot of simmers are easy pickings.

Imagine thinking that the default LNAV cannot fly from A to B. All these hundreds of flights I've had before better alternatives were released (including a fully documented flight around the world in 30+ legs) in which I've flown without incident from A to B must have been dreams.

This is exactly the core of the problem. People manufacture their theories and create villains into their head, and then distort reality to fit these theory.

1: Yes. The default LNAV is far from perfect, but it's absolutely capable to fly from A to B.

2: They state very clearly on their website that the aircraft is based on the "standard flight plan system of MSFS."

Everyone's a lawyer ready to talk about crime (oh boy) as long as they're bantering on forums. If you think they're performing criminal acts, please do put your money where your mouth is and sue them. Let us know how it works for you.

The funniest part about this whole "They lied! Traitors of the community!" theory is that it's entirely unrealistic and ridiculous. Developers who want to be deceptive don't send review copies to youtubers and websites that are bound to find and expose every shortcoming, which in fact they did. Only, most were actually civil in expressing their criticism, much unlike the one who called them liars and traitors, thank goodness.

Honestly - how much are they paying you? Is it in Swiss francs or in Euros? Paypal? Gift cards?

The default LNAV isn't LNAV. That thing's a point to point GPS. The idea that they launder this thing as "deeply simulated and can get do all normal operations without issue" is incredibly disingenuous. Add to that, Mathijs has no idea how their logo ended up on there, and it appears they might've just reached a distro deal with Aerosoft, then stuck their logo all over it without permission...

I mean I get it, you're probably on the payroll, but this thing looks like a straight grift.

I'll ignore the silly personal attacks, because they're just silly. It's hard to be on the payroll of people I haven't ever talked to.

The default LNAV can absolutely go from A to B. It doesn't matter how it works under the hood. Saying that it can't go from A to B is what's incredibly disingenuous and simply 100% false. Incidentally, if Aerosoft was so shocked by their logo being on the trailers, I'm sure you'll be able to explain why the trailers with that logo are still  front and center on Aerosoft's own official YouTube channel. If they were such an issue, it would take exactly 4 clicks to remove them.

And why have they been uploaded there to begin with? Do you seriously believe that someone uploaded them there without even looking at them, four times? 😂

I can not sue them because I have not been frauded because I did not buy the product. You do have no idea how law works, do you?

I wonder how much PMDG paid him for it...

Not sure how you came up with this idea. From my understanding, the E175 and Boeing 737 aren't really the strongest competitors in real life. This article here says that the main competitor of the E175 in real life is the CRJ-900: https://knaviation.net/embraer-175-vs-crj-900/

Besides, the PMDG 737 series has almost been all released, with the 900 variant being the main remaining variant left (and the MAX, but PMDG's main competition in the MAX is iFly). This E175 has negligible impact on PMDG's sales. Whether this E175 was released now, or even if it never existed in the first place, I don't think it would impact PMDG's sales much.

Now if this E175 were truly "study level" and it was released in April of 2022, before the PMDG 737 was released, then yeah, I think it could have impacted PMDG's sales.  It's possible that the Maddog and Just Flight BAe 146 impacted PMDG's sales, because both were released before the PMDG 737, and back in April of 2022, many people were clamoring for a "study level" or high fidelity airliner.

But after the PMDG 737 has been released for 8 months, including 3 variants of the PMDG 737? Nah, this E175 has little, to no impact on PMDG's sales. I honestly don't think PMDG cares much about this E175.

And if the CRJ-900 is the actual competitor of the E175, I don't think Aerosoft cares about this E175 either, since the CRJ-900 has also been released by Aerosoft for quite some time now on MSFS.

Respect for the time and factual attitude, even though his post hardly did merit any of these!
