I found the series to be moderately entertaining.  Not a stunner or anything really innovative, but pretty decent IMO.

It's a lot like The Walking Dead, but with the focus on a small group of two people instead of the larger group of people trying to survive in the other show.

The show features some social engineering as well as another type of propaganda dealing with a controversial issue, and while I'm not offended or even bothered by it, I just find it disappointing that today's writers and producers can't seem to resist injecting their ideologies into TV shows and movies.

Hopefully season 2 will be better.

Well, seeing as it has been well received and is following the plot of a popular and well regarded video game that has a sequel, it would stand to reason that they will make a second season based on the second game.

I haven’t played video games since Lunar Jetman on the Spectrum in the 80s. I’ve never heard of this game. I just watched it due to the heavy advertising on Sky Atlantic.

It is a rarity in that you can’t binge watch episodes ahead of the broadcast. That’s here in the UK. Must be a generational thing. You’re not missing much.

Quite right, Ray.

To me, it doesn't seem "right" not to watch real TV. But then, when ITV first came to the UK, I refused to watch it, preferring the BBC!

As you haven’t seen all 9 episodes it’s difficult to explain without spoiling it. I was expecting closure. It didn’t happen. When I watch Line of Duty each series has a satisfactory ending.

And there were storylines that never existed in the video game done no doubt to satisfy modern audiences.

Shawshank Redemption never did well at the box office. It’s now a classic. I’ve enjoyed plenty of films that didn’t rate highly by critics. Conversely I’ve watched those highly rated and been bored. That’s opinions for you. All subjective.

I have only watched two episodes so far, so I have avoided reading the contents of this thread

Well, there wont be "closure" in the first season as there are more than two seasons planned. Look for closure at the end of season 3. 

I don't think you can have a TV series identical to a game, they are two different mediums. However, others who have played the game say it follows the game closely.

I'll watch the rest tonight, no doubt. 

Also started watching Vikings Valhalla. Seems good so far, only on episode 2.

I won’t be watching any more. It’s just rinse and repeat. And the potty-mouthed girl is not a nice character.

And of course, the characters speech mannerisms are true to the videogame characters, so.... Warning: Ellie cusses alot!

I like her.

The banter is notable for its lack of discontinuance but she's a very good young actress. Excellent in game of Thrones too.
