They recently changed the behavior of setting/releasing the parking brake to match the real thing. Did this change back to just clicking on the handle with this update (not how it works in the real 737)?!

Did this change back to just clicking on the handle with this update (not how it works in the real 737)?! I actually don't click much in the cockpit, I've got a keyboard binding for everything possible and I always set parking brakes per keyboard as I don't have to look around in the cockpit. I bought the 737 in November or so and since then it worked like this for me: 1) hold brake pedals down 2) press "." once -> parking brakes are set. 3) release brake pedals Then, around new year, PMDG pushed an update. Since this update, the parking brake didn't engage anymore by pressing ".", but I had to hold "." on my keyboard for two seconds or so to be set. 1) hold brake pedals down 2) keep pressing "." -> parking brakes are set. 3) release brake pedals After the recent update, it works again by just hitting the "point" key once as it did when I bought it and I think as it is supposed to. Have I already mentioned I hate updates? 😉 There's always something going wrong and I hate surprises in that regard... Edited January 29, 20233 yr by Konterhalbe

When Robert at PMDG realizes this and face reality the better off he would be and can progress further in the future. He is trying to do something that is not permitted within the MSFS platform while calling wolf at the same time and Asobo is not budging. This is not P3D of FSX. There is nothing prohibiting a Marketplace or XBox add-on from communicating with SimBrief or Navigraph, as long as it is done using approved SDK techniques using Javascript. What is not permitted is the use of external programs as part of the add-on. Fenix uses an external program to interface with ProSim to run the aircraft systems. Leonardo uses an external program to set weight & balance and aircraft options. That is what prevents either product from being sold on the Marketplace. PMDG’s issue is that their add-on is 100 percent WASM, and they have to create their EFB using Javascript. That presents several technical challenges. Even without the EFB, PMDG airplanes won’t work on X-Box (yet) because WASM add-ons are not compatible with X-Box, but Asobo is supposed to implement a fix for that problem in SU12 Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. If FBW or Fenix could do that, they'd be perfect. Another thing PMDG gets better is performance. Still, I like Fenix the most. 🙂 I don't save flights at least haven't. Overall, outside of the pauses during taxi and need for general optimization actual frame rate seems better in the FBW, or they're very close. They believe they have found the(a) culprit for the hiccoughs issue and are rewriting code for this currently. I have a lot of patience so will hold off on Fenix as this plane is amply satisfying now that I'm using the Experimental version. January 29, 20233 yr IRS is a known problem. It's a faulty warning, not an actual IRS fault. John Wiesenfeld KPBI | FAA PPL/SEL/IFR in a galaxy long ago and far away | VATSIM PILOT P2 i7-11700K, 32 GB DDR4 3.6 GHz, MSI RTX 3070ti, Dell 4K monitor

I got around it by making a new panel state but you need start on the runway with the engines running then configure your state from there. It's also just a false warning you can ignore.
