I'm stunned. Didn't expected this.

Absolutely stunned what LR have done with XP12 in the last couple of updates.
Steady 100-110fps with Autoortho + X-WORLD + Realtime weather. Clouds look really good too.

The future is bright.

How many time to load the autoortho? Tried about two weeks ago, but take some time to load the inicial scenery before flight...

Generally it takes maybe 3 to 6 minutes here. But in this case lasted maybe 1 minute because it was an island of Mallorca (LEPA).

I was surprised as well about XP12, um gob smacked actually. I am getting nothing less than 60 FPS and up to 156 FPS on an i5-10500 INTEL chip (6cores) with 16 GB ram at 3.10 GHZ on an MSI motherboad with SSD's I have never seen 60-156 FPS on any MS or LM system I had before, in fact I used to lock those systems to 30FPS. The low is with what I call a high end sim aircraft (ZIBO 737-800) the high on a simple single C172.  Smooth as silk. Whole program loads from scratch in 30 secs and from selection to start up at location 45 secs max.

It certainly makes good use of modern processors allright. No tweaking at all required or needed.

I have installed SIMHeaven XWorld area sceneries and Orthos and nothing changes in terms of load times or performance at all!

Autoortho

What is this, and is it fully XP12 compatible?

Yes, it's definitely better in the last couple of updates.

It works with XP12 but has the same limitations of ortho4xp about coastlines and long loading times.

AutoOrtho is an experimental application that aims to have real-time streaming satellite scenarios like MSFS.

The idea is certainly interesting, but it has a small problem: the tiles downloaded from conventional Bing-Google servers are not graphically processed by artificial intelligence, so the orthophotos will have more graphical defects than the (same) Bing-Google orthophotos captured from AI servers specifically dedicated to graphic pre-processing.

Example of Ortho4xp (or AutoOrtho) graphics issues on my Xp11.

I love the lighting engine ths XP12 uses.

Nothing has every felt "real" to me in flight simulators, and that includes the latest MSFS.

In the real world, colors are often muted and can be somewhat "depressing".  It isn't always bright and oversaturated.

XP12 nails that "flat light" look which I've only seen approximated with ReShade filtters in the past.  The third and forth screenshots in the OP look more like the real world to me than anything I've seen prior.

Generally XP11/12 AA is awful, they NEED to work on that. But my low AA setting doesn't help either lol. Why low setting? Simply because higher settings bring a bit less shimmering, but it also brings FPS down a lot. Far from a win win situation.

The simplest answer I can give you is, we already know it needs work.  Laminar knows about it.  They know the cause.  They've started working on fixing it.

Repeating it in every forum post won't do anything to get it fixed any sooner.

Sigh - EVERYBODY has noticed the AA needs work, including LR - they know the cause and are working to fix it.  Even though this bug exists, XP12 still looks and flies amazing 😉

Would you be prepared to share your complete hardware specifications including the monitor, with other users? These remarkable frame rates have not been reported until now, from what I can tell. I can get near your visuals, but rarely get beyond 40fps with a 3090ti and an overclocked AMD 5900X. The images are great; we'd all like to know more about how you set up your system. You're described as a tweaker. What else did you do tweak to get such performance?

Nothing tweaked. You can also substract ~10fos when I run Traffic Global, so around 90fps with it.
