Featured Replies

We’re excited to announce the release of a new dispatch interface in SimBrief!
SimBrief was originally released in 2013, and since then the user interface has only seen minor incremental changes. The dispatch interface has now gotten a complete redesign with a more modern look and feel, along with additional improvements and new features, such as:
🖥️ The interface adjusting to any screen size
✔️ Dark mode and large text options
📝 Adding comments or notes when saving your flight
🧑‍✈️ The ability to share your flight options with another user
🌦️ Setting minimum weather criteria when searching for alternates
ℹ️ NOTAMs and other general information in the airport weather pop-ups
✈️ A loadsheet section for more convenient access to various aircraft weights
🔎 The ability to search for a flight or airframe using the provided search box
📗 A new and improved user guide accessible from the dispatch interface
Head over to https://dispatch.simbrief.com to get started!
If you require support with the SimBrief Dispatch System or want to make a feature request, please submit a post in the dedicated section of the Navigraph Support Forum where our developers are available: https://forum.navigraph.com/c/simbrief/37

Wow, that is a great upgrade.

Just tested it on my iPad and it looks great.

I use a second monitor and the updated interface is very friendly and intuitive.

I really wish flight duration was a sort column.

Looks nice though not necessarily better or more convenient imho. But that's a matter of getting used to it, I suppose.

Anyway, what I wanted to ask: I do have three saved airframes (Fenix and Vision Jet) but there is no way I can select them when creating or editing a flight...? The list of planes only shows the Simbrief default ones... Am I missing something obvious?

Select “variant or airframe” box instead of airframe type and they should be there.

Ah, found it, thanks. It's a bit odd though and not too convenient at first. The trick is to select the first 'empty option' underneath Aircraft Type: only then you can select a saved airframe underneath 'Variant or Airframe'. Bit tricky but once you know it, it's okay.

Once you do that you will discover that the saved airframes are actually in the Aircraft Type list but not easy to recognize. When I selected the Fenix frame using the method described above I noticed the Aicraft Type changed to A320 - A320-200. I'd never known that would be the Fenix... Now I know it I can also select A320 - A320-200 in the type list after which I have to change the Default variant to Fenix... of which btw there are two options now.

All in all a bit confusing...

The Vision Jet now also is in the aircraft list as 'SF50 - Vision Jet' and that one also shows a variant of Default at first too after which you have to select the saved airframe.. of which there also are two now. And apart from that, all profiles show up as NORM... Doesn't seem right....

I keep getting an “install simbrief, add to Home Screen” pop up every time I open the webpage, but have no idea how to do that.  I’m using MS Edge browser on an iPad by the way.

They are talking about the Home function shortcut.

scroll down to “Add a website icon to your Home Screen”

There is no simbrief app. There is nothing to install, it is basically a shortcut to the website. You may have to use Safari on your iPad for this to work.

I just did a VA flight plan, I like the new interface.

Just click "no" or "x". It will not appear again.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Looks a lot like PFPX.
