February 24, 20233 yr Well they didn't take the opportunity to drop an update/repair of WU11. I guess we're stuck with that steaming third pile forever.💩 I'm Irish! 😁 Edited February 24, 20233 yr by FBW737 Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.
February 24, 20233 yr Hi, everyone, Now I'm downloading the Marketplace update (5,92 GB). Why do MS/Asobo has changed again the way to update MSFS? It's puzzling! Regards Edited February 24, 20233 yr by John Fields

Brilliant! That reminds me of far too many RPGs I've played, though I've not yet found a +50 Fishing Rod of Combat...

For World Updates, you usually get a general small update at sim start, but the real world update you always have first to "buy" (for free) in the marketplace and then download it with the content manager. Has this changed? Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
February 24, 20233 yr Hi, Mario, Sorry, I was partially wrong, because this time there's nothing in the Content Manager! Everything was installed from the Marketplace. Regards. Edited February 24, 20233 yr by John Fields
February 24, 20233 yr Hi, again, Do you know where can I find the page with the contents that specifies which airports and scenarios have been installed with the WU12? Thank you

February 24, 20233 yr Does anyone know which of the NZA airports (freeware and payware) can still be used and which ones need to be uninstalled? And what is about the payware airports for Wellington (Flightbeam) and Auckland? Do they still work as intended? Somebody already tested them? Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Uninstall NZA Westport and Rotorua, and SDR Tekapo if you have them. NZA now have optional Westport and Rotorua enhancements for the update though, and don't forget their library. Haven't yet tried the Flightbeams since the update but I've noticed no instructions to change anything there. There are some probs with the default and iniBuilds Queenstown, as well as some textures near Christchurch, so I'd expect some sort of patch later.

Update: according to the NZA Discord, they recommend removing the Orbx mesh if you have it, until they issue a reworked version.

The data used is the same as WU12 however the data that is streamed by MSFS will lose it's detail quicker than Orbx NZ. I have kept Orbx installed for now. But i have not seen any difference between both so far. Orbx has removed the mesh from sale so that kinda answers your question as well.
February 24, 20233 yr If I understand their forum post correctly, keeping ORBX NZ mesh installed will provide you some better looking distant terrain at the cost of some increased terrain morphing when flying around, because the switch between the LODs is visible. I will keep NZ mesh and if I get annoyed by the morphing, off of my disk it goes 😉 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

You missed a word out: Quote With that in mind, we are temporarily removing NZ Mesh from sale on OrbxDirect and the Microsoft Marketplace. Edited February 24, 20233 yr by Reader
