From your signature, you're running a 3080, correct? I think a lot of folks are still on the fence about upgrading to a 40 series card just yet, so this would be a great way to see an upgrade comparison CPU v GPU. I had exactly the same PC spec like yours (11900k-64gb-3090) and i could confirm with my new upgrade MSFS is ultra smooth with out any limitation.7950x3d looks killer but i am an Intel guy and 13900k is more than enough combined with 4090 in frame generation. Not sure why. They need to jump off that fence and get a 4 series ahead of a CPU upgrade, unless they're on some ancient CPU. As discussed, frame generation makes a WORLD of difference.

Not sure i get that. Both reduces wear and tear and fuel consumption. I dont limit my car, i just dont push it that much. And if i like to, the german Autobahn is my friend. Also even with unlimited FPS ( with out any limit/cap ) 4090 is on chilling-time with temps 40-50c, so you have a relaxed beast to give you as much fps and smoothens you want in flight simulation. Edit: Addition: 30Hz on that screen looks and feels completely smooth. No Judders, Jiggles, tearings or whatsoever. Because if you have this enabled, you could cap fps to 60 and have stable fps even on high demanding airports and aircrafts I just bought Dell Alienware AW3423DW Ultrawide QD-OLED HDR Curved Gaming Monitor and 30 fps looks very bad ( jerky with micro-stutters) Edited March 6, 20233 yr by Seth2021 Intel Core i9-13900K | ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING OC 24GB | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | DDR5 64GB 6000-30 Trident Z5 RGB | Corsair ICUE H170i Elite Capellix RGB | Corsair 7000D Airflow ASUS ROG Thor Platinum II 1200 Watt | Samsung SSD 990 Pro NVMe M.2 2TB & 1TB | Alienware AW3423DW | Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 27" Gaming Monitor | VKB-Sim Gladiator Mk.II | Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition

Tried different settings and chose the one i was pleased the most with. 60 fps isnt thach much better than 30 imho (only apllies to MSFS of course). Sure it makes a difference but i opted for 30 fps and instead i use TLOD 400 and still get a smooth experience. Its just my personal setting and decision. Each to his own i guess. Each to his own i guess. been in MSFS since 1995 and Ive literally never had a stutter free FS experience in all these years till recently. So if its not broke dont fix it. I spent 20 years tinkering w settings a .cfgs and could never get that holy grail experience till the last few builds on msfs. I rather stutter free then slightly slower panning speeds. The other thing is the 3080 cant handle more, if I upgrade to a 4000 nvidia then frame gen would be cool , but Im just not paying 1500+ for 100FPS when 30 FPs smooth is good enough for ME. thank you for my ted talk 7900x3d , 64gb 6200mhz 30CL Ram, RTX 3080

Red Dead Redemption in 4k @ 120Hz is quite nice. So is Cyberpunk. Hard to believe for some that there's more out there than just MSFS.
