Release MFS Linux and IOS versions, just as they already have the Xbox porta... 😜

I played msfs for the first time on a mac... Why not now? 😁

Maybe easier in Linux since win11 already comes with it's own Linux...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

You can already play FS2020 on Linux, but you get poor performances compared to Windows.
It is OK if you just need some screenshots !

I have erased FS2020 from my Linux system, because many add-ons do not work under Linux.

You can try with Proton on Linux, however I doubt many addons will work all the great, might work with Proton-GE but still a gamble. Targeting a program to work on a different architecture is no easy feat, there'a plethora of windows DLLs and libraries that MSFS may use, that may not exist on Linux or would require re-writing to accomodate the linux libraries.

Xbox is literally an x86 Machine running a very very locked down version of Windows, so it's not really comparble to running on Linux

The iOS bit, is just a no, different chipset, different APIs etc.

Added xbox bit

Let's hope MS/A doesn't waste half a second on that idea.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the number of users would not justify the amount of effort required to make it happen. If there was a ton of money to be made, then by all means, go for it. Outside of that, they should use their resources to keep improving the sim.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

I fought and struggled and eventually got XP11 installed on Linux. The fight to get an NVidia driver working was particularly memorable. I think I gained 2fps but lost a lot of what I considered to be many essential addons. An absolute waste of time.

They should really focus on platform compatibility, Linux, Windows 8, ME, 2000, NT, 95, MacOS, Commodore 64, OS/2 Warp....

That is a much better utilization of resources over improving weather, ATC, AI, and visuals 😆
