That's my take on it anyway, but information has been sparse. I'm going to laugh when the EULA gets released. Somehow I think you could request a file down at FS.to and it will be gone in 2-3 days, but if your Scenery Gateway addon has to go... if the Marketplace is any guide... you will be waiting for a while.
March 22, 20233 yr Author In the MSFS livestream right now (https://www.twitch.tv/msfsofficial), around the 1 hour 26 minute mark, I think Jorg just said the last legal hurdle for the Scenery Gateway system has been overcome (release notes he said). Although Jorg and Jane called it the "World Hub." Jorg did say he has to sit down with another team to discuss it, and I assume they may be some final tasks they need to do. But it looks like the Scenery Gateway system is starting soon. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I think it should be assumed that if you upload something to the gateway you relinquish the rights for it to be taken down. It’s more like a donation so it’s not really “yours” anymore. A little different than submitting a freeware mod on a website imho
March 22, 20233 yr I think the World Hub will only allow tweaks to MSFS (mainly for default airports). And it will not be possible for the community developers to submit entirely new versions such as those at flightsim.to. This is because: 1) the file size of MSFS will grow too large and 2) it will reduce sales in the marketplace 3) it would take longer to validate those uploads. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
March 22, 20233 yr Yeah it sounds like it's meant to be similar to X-Plane's system you can only use the assets provided.

I started months ago a discussion to find friends .. without success 😉 Obviously we'll have to see what the final version looks like, but I think there is a definite interest in a platform / project to crowdsource world improvements. e.g. One of my favourite islands to fly around is Crete, which generally has pretty good orthos and mesh, and is just beautiful. Unfortunately it's very clear to see the olive tree farms are not well represented by the autogen, and I would happily lend some time to hand placing 1000s of trees if I someone could walk me through the process and donate models of small / medium / large olive trees. It really would make such an improvement to the experience, and I'm sure there are 1000s of examples around the world where people would gladly spend some time polishing their favourites. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
March 23, 20233 yr I didn't have X-Plane. Were the enhanced airports optional or forced? Hopefully the World Hub will give us a choice to install or not.

So, pushed during "next" updates to all. Who wouldn't accept to have tree removed on threshold, the correct name of taxiway, the correct number of taxiway signs... ? The usage of the World hub will, obviously be optional 😉 Edited March 23, 20233 yr by vbazillio Vincent B. March 23, 20233 yr Knowing the tropism of the MS team for complexity not to say user-unfrienfly UI (updates, msstore purchases, recorder, world planner etc.), it’d better be optional. 🤞🤞 Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
