Really? Which one was bombarded? I went to the last one that I know of, and it went well. I thought they would do more.  You just need a good moderator and users should submit questions to the moderator.

Valve disagrees and they're the biggest game distributor out there. Khronos/OpenGL/Vulkan exists precisely because this is not an accurate statement. What's more, 99% of the performance-enhancing tutorials out there immediately tell us to go disable a slew of M$ garbage and bloat.

They do love their xbox though... As does Asobo.

I freely admit my meaningful knowledge of the windows experience ended with windows 8. I've not seen any sign its gotten better since then.

They can easily ignore the trolls and come up with a list of responses to common questions.  It does take some more effort to prepare and produce something professional.  Does Laminar have a community manager of some sort, or is it all developers?

Thompson Meeks handles all that stuff.  He's Austin's "Camera man" when they go out to make videos, and he also gets involved in PR for LR.  ie.  He moderated the streams that were done.  One was left up on youtube, but the other one was taken down.

They have a discord now.

Because I mainly use x-plane and I WANT to see it become better. If I cared about MSFS I would also be in their forums. However, since so many people said that you can't compare X-Plane with a game and that now we have a standard in what a flight simulator can look like, there are inevitably a lot of comparisons.

Troll = anyone who doesn't fully agree with their point of view.

I remember someone on the other forum was trying to put up an interview with Austin and was asking for questions from the members. Obviously there were a lot of "when will you fix this" questions. They've probably given up on the idea since there was no interview after all. Needless to say, I think Laminar live in their own bubble where their hardcore fanbase only care about the last 0.01% of the flight model and don't really have that much contact with the actual users. The feature requests page is pretty much dead, and afaik that was the only time they actually listened to us.

Do you have video evidence of the entire LR team camped out on the beach for a month while we entertainment seekers all sit rocking back and forth, foaming at the mouth, waiting for the next update? By all means, share your evidence!

Literally on every planet. Everywhere you look, when people complain, stuff gets fixed (unless the creators are completely disconnected from their users).

I bought x-plane and tons of add-ons for it, so I'm supporting it as a platform. Not to much when it comes to the other sim. 

Someone here posted that he e-mailed Austin regarding the AA issue and he replied that he wasn't aware of it. If that's true, we need more of that haranguing.

I don't have to. The fact that it's almost 6 months after the release of XP12 and basic issues and improvements are still missing speaks for itself

Hahaha... yes. I remember that one. Austin likes to make folks feel like they've uncovered a secret. It's for your egos. Honestly, maybe LR does like stirring folks like you up into a fervor. Any press is good press when it's proven to be good enough to be the best selling version of XP to date AND when they're the underdog.

Totally agree with your comment. I have said it several times, MSFS is an unbalanced simulator. What makes me the saddest is that these are weaknesses that cannot be improved. XP12 on this side has much more possibilities. XP12 lighting is simply excellent, the balance is already built.
