So if there is a "simple" issue left to fix, especially one you dont have an XPD for, now is very much the time to make sure they know about it, or else its likely going to be a while before the beta sim is back in as good a condition as now. Or maybe everything goes perfect from here on in and new shiney drops perfect day one.... miracles do happen I'm told. AutoATC Developer

I checked the release notes for you and I can confirm I don't see an entry for 'Frankenclouds'. In fact I have never seen an official reference to 'Frankenclouds'. Perhaps if you referred to the issue as 'dark clouds', you may receive a more sympathetic respone? May 2, 20233 yr Nor have they looked at networking, something that has been broken since XP10!!! Looks like their new airbus will be getting most of the attention now. May 2, 20233 yr Quote This is a good one to get out of the way, because I very much suspect the next betas will break a lot of things before its good for daily driving as they tackle the harder problems. They should've tackled those problems before releasing 12.00. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

IMHO, if we waited until every issue was 'tackled' before releasing 12.00, we wouldn't have a sim to use for another couple of years. I think its great we have such a good flight sim to use as it develops. For ten years I was the sole developer for my companies HR software, including internet and intranet sites. Many bugs will only surface once users get their hands on the software. The company I worked for had 250 employees, so my bug finding task was relativly easy because everybody used the same laptops/PCs. LR have a far harder task with all the different combinations of hardware in use. You should fly XP12 and enjoy what you have and with each update you can get excited with the new stuff! Unfortunately, you seem to live in a 'half glass empty' world, so will probably never be happy. May 3, 20233 yr I can't believe it or am I dreaming: where are the black horror Frankenclouds gone? no matter how hard I tried using the new beta 1205r1: no Frankenclouds yet. what happened to them? I saw nothing regarding fixing these in the release notes. if they are really gone, this could be the beginning of a new long lasting friendship: atmospheric lighting, dusk and dawn, has never looked better in any other sim for me. still some graphic quirks and a few stupid repetitive rain puddles remain, but if that's all ... still some graphic quirks though: AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
