July 23, 20232 yr V-Tail Bonanza without a doubt! They have already done it for P3D so they would have a head start. The existing Carenado model is pretty good but not even close to A2A quality/realism overall. My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel Sims: MSFS2020 Preferred Aircraft Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049
July 23, 20232 yr The 172 makes a lot of sense since there so many people flying it IRL. Moreover, the steam gauge 172 in the sim is not available in the base package and it is relatively basic.
July 23, 20232 yr A Cessna 172 or 182, IMO. Boring to some, yet experienced by many. Other dev teams may have tackled these, but not to the same standard. I query whether the more exotic suggestions in this thread have sufficiently wide appeal to justify the development cost for only A2A's second release for MSFS. July 23, 20232 yr My guess is the A2A Cessna 182. A lot more airplane than the C172 Trainer. Regards, RayM When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

True - but on the other hand the Premium Deluxe 172 with the WBSim mod is actually very very good. So you can get a good Steam 172, at least on PC, if you really want it.

Moreover, the steam gauge 172 in the sim is not available in the base package and it is relatively basic. So by the time A2A made the Cessna 172 for FSX, I think I had quit using FSX. But I see that A2A did do the Cessna 172 FSX and subsequently did the Cessna 172 for P3D. I would love to know the sales number for the Cessna 172 for both FSX and P3D for A2A, but this is probably a company guarded secret and A2A will keep this information private. However, if I were to guess, despite the fact that MSFS already has a good Cessna 172, the sales of an A2A Cessna 172 would probably be very, very, good. This situation reminds me of the Fenix A320. When Fenix released their A320 last spring, the FBW A320 was already decent (of course the FBW A320 is better now, a year later). Without a doubt, the FBW A320 ate into some of the Fenix sales of the A320. However, the A320 is so popular, that despite the FBW A320 giving competition to the Fenix A320, the Fenix A320 still sold a lot of copies - it sold so many copies, Fenix has hired more developers to the team. That is, the market for the A320 was so large, that despite a decent freeware A320 in the FBW, there was still a large enough market for a higher fidelity A320 from Fenix. I am going to guess this situation for the Cessna 172 is similar for A2A. The default Cessna 172 is quite good, but the market for the Cessna 172 is so big, that A2A can still make a lot of money if they come out with an A2A level Cessna 172. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Well, hopefully it will appear for those who want it. Personally, I think it looks like the halves of two different aircraft joined together. There is always their popular B-17 to consider. I'd love to see a new version of that. I was able to have a chat with Scott at Cosford's flight sim show a few years back ( 2019 ? Lewis is a mate ) and asked him whether A2A might also do a civilian 'de-militarized' Fortress, as used post-war by France's Institut Geographic National (IGN). He seemed amenable to the idea, so perhaps one day. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

July 23, 20232 yr The interest in Aerostars is not the look, it is the fact they are the fastest production piston twin ever sold with the 700P achieving a full power cruise of 285 knots. They were technically impressive using the same NACA-64 wing as the Lear. Apparently they claim they had collected enough data on the Aerostar to eventually finish the MSFS one that was well under way at the time.

A2A has originally built its business on these « exotic » birds in sims with a narrower audience and Flyingiron or Milviz don’t do so bad with them in MSFS, do they 😉 ? At that time, I believe she was the only airworthy Fortress in the world to have actually flown combat missions during the war. Very sad that she is currently grounded - I'd rather see her returned to the USA than left gathering dust on this side of the Pond. Perhaps A2A can put her back in the air, with all the proceeds from Comanche sales 😉 Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
