I think by now, after using x-plane 12 for such a long time, we all know that anti-aliasing is a technique to avoid aliasing. and by now we all know that x-plane 12 suffers from a lack of proper anti-aliasing. yet we have come to use the term anti-aliasing when we refer to x-plane's lack thereof. Yes, thus just saying "antialiasing, as ever" makes no sense, as that would imply anti-aliasing was always in place and there was no aliasing to be found. July 28, 20232 yr go ahead! report when/if back on the ground. I encountered something similar totally unexpectedly, the cauliflower cumulus developed out of nowhere in mere minutes, not forecasted in an otherwise clear sky, in a small unpressurized C172 in real life, had to climb to 14.000 to get through and above them. any higher and that would have been the end of it. up there not much room for turns (spin/stall), no more power left to climb any further. was horrible. next time I'd rather take the anti-aliasing. 🤣 AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
