July 31, 20232 yr Do you enable AI traffic in the sim itself, or do you install a third party addon? Also, what is FPS hit using AI? Thanks! Edited July 31, 20232 yr by Skyseek
July 31, 20232 yr Third party. I use FSLTL. It's free, uses a one app installer and puts real world liveries and models in the sim, matching real world flights. Turn off the fake MSFS traffic and enjoy! There are some bugs with AI, but despite some saying other programs or pathways fix these issues, I don't believe that's the case. My system is very high-end so I don't see a performance hit. I also only use a moderate amount of traffic because they can get in the way to be honest. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
July 31, 20232 yr A mixed of the two. FSLTL to create airliners traffic and the MSFS AI Offline modified with a flightsim.to mod to create GA traffic. Vincent B. Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.
July 31, 20232 yr I use FSLTL on my pretty moderate system and haven´t experienced a loss in fps. It´s real fun to place oneself near the end of a runway at one of the big airports and go planespotting. FSLTL even provides ai traffic with corresponding sounds for startup, taxiing, takeoff etc. Intel core i5-12600KF, ASRock B760-H2/M2, Kingston DDR5-4800 32 GB, Asus Geforce RTX 4060 TI 16GB, Samsung SSD 980 1 TB M.2 SSD, Lexar NM790 SSD 2TB

Please would you mind sharing your traffic settings and the addon you are using for GA traffic. I too use FSLTL and miss the GA traffic. Love your airports BTW. With the edit of the layout.json, MSFS will only inject GA traffic and FSLTL will do the same for liners. 41 minutes ago, cianpars said: Love your airports BTW Thank you! July 31, 20232 yr I used to chose the sim's live-traffic, with AIG Models installed. But since the penultimate Simupdate they messed up something in the aliasing of the aircraft. Now the livetraffic does no longer accurately choose liveries from the pool of installed AI Aircraft. As a result I switched to PSXT for the time being. Downside, no real communication between the aircraft and the sim, therefore no seperation between you and those aircraft from ATC. On the upside: You get the absolutely correct liveries, down to the registration number, and have the aircraft do exactly what they do in real life, with just 15 seconds of delay. However only on airports where the transponders are switched on at the gate.

I agree, but I'm going to cancel mine for 2 reasons: 1) because it's a subscription and 2) because there are no comms between ATC and the Ai aircraft. It's like we are the only plane is the skies. August 1, 20232 yr FSLTL is easy, free and works well enough for me to feel immersed that I’m not operating in an empty world.
