I saw one of these flying at Duxford a few years ago.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Well I think it is good for the money.   I paid about £8 for it in the UK.  You have to take that into account.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

flight model has some very odd quirks which don't seem to match the real thing, engine modelling is TERRIBLE, and there are strange omissions - like full wing and prop anti-ice but the windsceen is INOP so you can fly in icing conditions but only as long as you don't need to see where you are going.

Such an interesting aircraft deserves better

When I first watched this trailer it reminded me of an aircraft that used to fly from its home base at EGKA a lot in the 80s/90s/00s. I bit of research and it was this T-6G Texan, similar in design by the looks of it;

Just noticed one pic is from sept this year so she's still there, unsure if still flying though

Apparently the Swedish didn't build flying boats! 🙂

The Heinkel HE 5, produced in Sweden as the Svenska S 5 and nicknamed the "Hansa", was a reconnaissance floatplane built during the 1920s.

Lucky us that they did not find that one 😄

Cheers T.

I have seen a float version of the Saab 17 somewhere.  I wouldn't have minded that as a variant.  :smile:

Edit:  A good pic of one on the Wikipedia page actually.

Time for some new pilot selections given the same ones for 3 years.

What's that Laurie?   Do you mean the pilot models inside the aircraft?

GotFriends have got some as cheap payware ($5) on their website.  Look like good quality WW1 / WW2 types.

Some free ones as well but mainly for fun.
