Surprisingly P2012 has FM feature that I expect FSR500 to have. When you "on speed" in ground effect and cut the power she settles down right away. I flown many airplanes that actually behave like that. You have to fly them all the way to the touch down slowly reducing power. That is my memory of PA46 as well. In contrast, lighter plane like Cessna 172 you can chop power over treshold, round up and touch wheel 150 feet later. Often when I do check out of people transitioning from lighter plane, we do a lot of work on power settings and round as skill set they obtained in lighter aircraft not always serves them well in heavier.

I published the correct link right above your previous post. But the user needs to be able to become familiar and read up on the airplane without having to start MSFS, and then not to end up in a "Page not found" missing URL.

very nice.

Seems pretty nice but a bit pricey...curious as more pilot reports roll in...

anybody has any idea why I can not engage NAV mode in the AUTOPILOT panel all of a sudden? I have a VFR flight plan set up in world map, which is visible in the middle G1000, but I can not select GPS mode in the PFD, no matter if I press CDI or OBS. the HSI stays on VOR1. all I can do is fly HDG mode. I am using Honeycomb Bravo, I thought I have checked all relevant autopilot bindings.

If you can't swap the cdi to gps that seems like a bug

I was able to switch between VOR and GPS without any problem. But I did have some funny thing with autopilot right after installation. So  rebooted  PC and everything was working fine.

I had been able to activate GPS mode on my previous flight and meanwhile have removed most autopilot assignments for the Honeycomb Bravo. is it possible to inhibit GPS mode by a wrong autopilot assignment in a controller setting?

sd_flyer "I did have some funny thing with autopilot right after installation. So  rebooted  PC and everything was working fine."

same here, sometimes couldn't engage flight director or autopilot. that's why I had removed all relevant autopilot assignments. I had also restarted MSFS in between, but not rebootet yet. will have to try that.

I thought the autopilot buttons would illuminate if they are activated?

I have linked this airplane into MSFS through MSFS addon linker.

considering the lack of complexity, engine sound issues and overpowered engines I agree the product seems somewhat overpriced.

rebooted PC and initially autopilot was working, but later the plane kept climbing despite my setting of - 900 ft vertical speed.

Because I haven't found a way to bring an engine to a complete stop, I turned the left fuel tank selector to OFF. with the right engine still running, the right engine sound stopped as well, it was all oh so quiet.

the left OFF engine's manifold still read 30 MAP InHG, while the running right engine was at only 5 MAP InHG. I then moved both throttles slightly forward, which resulted in an engine start sound and increase of the right engine MAP.

aircraft fully loaded, on take off accelerates to 100 kn within a few seconds. like jet assisted take off.

pushing throttle quickly full forward above 2.500 rpm makes engine sound like a passing motorcycle that is trying to overtake.

unlike in the real cockpit, where distance circles are perfectly round.

tecnamp2012-realcockp83dpo.jpg

and other annoying quirks:

the autopilot mode controller GMC 710 is missing all status lights to show which A/P mode is selected. the manual (based on the original GNC 710) shows them correctly, but in their Tecnam implementation they are all missing unfortunately, so no visual feedback about A/P status in the controller and with the PFD autopilot currently not always working correctly this is a real problem for me.

I have added them in green where they should have been:

their manual shows them correctly:

this is how it is in the default Citation Longitude, the way it should be:

That's incorrect - when you load the aircraft and hit 'fly now' a dialog box opens a link to the documentation. Well, it does for me anyway

@turbomax

I haven't bought it yet but yes, in Q8Pilot's review of the P2012 yesterday he definitely said that there is an online manual for the plane.

I know, I had posted it a few posts before:

"here it is:

but if you follow the link they provide in the aircraft itself, it comes up non-existent, as I had posted also before:

I regret the premature purchase, should have waited at least for a version 1.1. It will have to stay in the hangar until the autopilot quirks have been resolved. Who knows what happened when they decided to implement a "custom working title G1000".

As Turbomax has said, the link is to a 'not found' page, but you then click on the Tecnam 2012 in the list and that gets you to the manual - not very slick!

I seem to have got it sorted - had to remove autopilot master on/off  bindings on my Honeycomb alpha yoke and Bravo throttle, leaving only the AP button on the plane's cockpit panel as the active switch. Just did a successful short IFR flight including an RNav approach.

Initially I had no avionics at all, with a black MFD. A support ticket via Discord got it sorted for me for now - this is the reply I got:

"Hi, please delete fss-aircraft-tecnam-p2012\SimObjects\Airplanes\FSS_Tecnam_P2012\panel\FMSPlugin.js for now. It should fix it. We're already working on a solution. That file is only responsible for the keypad so hopefully not a big deal for now"
