It may well be the SU14 beta causing some of the issues, but they need to get on top of it, as the beta wont be a beta by tomorrow, it will be SU14.
Surely at least some of the testers should have been taking a look at it in the beta to get ahead of the game?

Don’t get the belly aching about the addon not fully working on msfs beta.  There’s a reason it’s called beta. This kind of spasm invites devs to version lock, just like fsl does and have to wait for a new patch for the addon to be usable.

Not bellyaching here - was just wanting to ensure that the OP knew that the aircraft was not ready for SU14, although it turned out his issue is different. It's unfortunate though that the incompatibility with SU14 was somewhat buried in the developer's FAQ's, which hasn't helped. 

I went back to SU13 to check it worked ok and indeed there were no avionics and fuel lever issues.....however, I lost all usb devices and sound soon after start up (not replicated with any other plane). So now waiting for SU14 to be released tomorrow, and hope FSS fix things soon. I like this plane and, hopefully, will be able to use it for pax and cargo jobs in OnAir

Even if it's true this not guarantee authentic thing frankly. FSR500 also was tested and collaborated by "real pilot" and they still didn't get landing correctly .  A2A in my opinion is an exception because owner and developer pf company real pilot and also experience in sim as well.

Apparently they are no longer allowing activation if you are running SU14.

Some devs are ahead of the curve, and some behind.  It will be interesting to see if they have a day one solution after SU14 is released, then we will know.

Latest on this one;

FSS Support advised I try installing the P2012 via the Contrail app.  I was initially confused by this, as I bought it from Aerosoft (as if I have learned my lesson about that crew).   It turns out you can activate and install products bought from other vendors on Contrail.    So off I jollily went, setting up a Contrail account, download their app, getting my serial key from Aerosoft, importing it into Contrail and installing from that app...

Same result.   The aircraft is as dead as a dodo on load.   Switches won't move, no electrics.

Aerosoft support have told me ..... (are you ready @Bert Pieke et al 😉 ---->)  this problem is nothing whatsoever to do with SU14 beta, and FSS and Aerosoft are aware of many users on SU14 beta who are able to use the product. (with some workarounds).

It seems my issue is around activation, but no-one knows why it's not activating.

Waiting for the next desperate suggestion, that takes hours to try and then doesn't work (cynical.. I know!).

Aside from that, I'll get a refund and forget this forsaken thing ever existed and enjoy the rest of the goodies in the sim.

I've read lot's of criticism of FSS online.  My only purchase with them was the P2006 - which is rather fantastic - so I jumped into this one.    Even though I haven't been able to use the P2012, bear in mind these things;  the loading screen in the P2012 in MSFS doesn't even refer to the right product (it refers to the P2006... a bit of copy and paste gone wrong there). The loading screen also states "Use 'easy' or 'realistic' mode, as per your skills".   As far as I can see, the P2012 doesn't even have 'easy' and 'realistic' modes????  (again, the P2006 does).

In my sim, Cape Air will just have to do without their P2012 fleet, which are permanently grounded with dead batteries and frozen fuel levers. 🙃

That's the thing isn't it.

How close are we to SU14 going stable?   Pretty close I gather.   FSS are leaving it pretty close to the wire in terms of having their product ready for the imminent latest stable build of MSFS!

So, as it stands, potentially overnight, all of the people using the P2012 might be in for a sudden loss of service in their P2012 fleet.

Hi,

Could anyone who has the FSS P2012 successfully installed please confirm if within your Community folder (or whichever folder you have it the addon installed), you have two folder :-

1). The FSS Tecnam P2012 folder itself, and

2). a second folder, something along the lines of "Aerosoft MSFS Utilities", as well?

In 30+ attempted installs, (trying Aerosoft One and Contrail), I only ever get the main P2012 folder.  However, it seems that I may be missing this other secondary (DRM) folder.
