BeyondATC Voice Tier

As far as I understand, PTT needs a very small amount of transistion time. The included amount should last for years.

I've always thought PTT meant using your own voice - am I wrong? In the video linked above, I cannot see any option for using key commands in interacting with ATC.

I assume that PTT (Push-To-Talk) requires a little Transmission Time is because, it transmits whatever you say in your mic, to their servers. It will then be 'deciphered' and the reply is then sent back to the application to be read-back to you. But instead of using one of the AI voices to generate the read-back, it then uses the 'Offline Voices' to generate the read-back locally on your computer.

If you don't use PTT, there's NO Transmission Time, as the whole procedure is generated locally, as it's text-and-click-based.

That's the way I understand it, anyway.

Thanks, this makes sense. Still somewhat confused as I don't see any option in the interface for not using PTT i.e. just using key commands (like e.g. FSHud).

Captain: We can easily map keys to each action item available in the action box. That can include joystick, keyboard etc.

Right now I don't have it like that since I assume if you have the window up you don't mind clicking on it, and if you don't you're speaking to it, meaning you don't need keys.

If there is a demand to map keys to the action options I can add it easily.

Oh, ok. If the PTT uses up very little transmission time and it can last for years, I think that is fair. I just didn't see this with their pricing scheme, it's a very confusing for me.

think might  explain it  better

Don't know how people say this is a subscription when there's no monthly payment and you pay what you use..

Also they don't have to pay anything more if they only use the offline voices...

I said it is basically a subscription,

You don't think people will try the premium voices and find them somehow way better than the free ones and then end up paying extra each month for the premium voices ... Sure sounds like a kinda subscription to me lol

Not a subscription, because if you don't use online voices, there is no recurring payment. It's not like Netflx, where you pay every month, regardless of seeing movies or not.

Is more like Pay as you Go.

You missed the point in my reply,

I fully understand the free voices require no further investment but there is a good chance people will try the premium voice packs and find them way better and then get sucked in to paying for them each month

Again, they don't pay them each month. It'll depend on their usage, as you know.................

If they don't use it, or use it and don't spend all credits, they don't pay more. So no subscription..............................

Or each week ... depends how much they use it.

But it is similar to icecream, whiskey, chocolate, etc.

Guessing I pay more for Navigraph, which I’d never fly without.
