December 12, 20232 yr Was flying in northern Wisconsin this morning and there was no snow on the ground. According to Meteoblue, there should be snow on the ground (anyone here from northern WI can confirm?). Have any of you had snow cover issues in SU14? They said snow cover should be better.
December 12, 20232 yr Well, there's great snow cover in the Andes. Unfortunately, someone apparently forgot to tell Asobo that it's SUMMER in the southern hemisphere in December... December 12, 20232 yr It was a pretty complete blanket of snow when I did a flight in central Chile a week or two ago--I lived down there for years, and it didn't look like that in the summer. I also flew a leg from Juneau to Ketchikan a few days ago, and there was little to no snow on the mountains. Just the usual ugly fluorescent lime-green depiction of what I think is supposed to be grass, only maybe after some kind of nuclear accident. I sure wish they'd give Alaska some much-needed attention. But as to snow cover, me thinks something is amiss. December 12, 20232 yr Didn't one of the Asobo comments before the last release say something about them "fixing" the snow because they figured they had overestimated it by a factor of 4 or 6 or something like that? December 12, 20232 yr There was a unit conversion issue in some areas. Anyways they're not done tweaking snow, there will be more improvements down the road. Hmm I wonder if it would be possible for them to add snow coverage to the world map. Edited December 12, 20232 yr by Tuskin38

January 2, 20242 yr Anyone getting snow textures in Canada? I only see brown textures flying out of CYWG all the way to CYYZ. What gives? used to get winter textures before SU14.
January 2, 20242 yr 3 minutes ago, Darcy said: Anyone getting snow textures in Canada? I only see brown textures flying out of CYWG all the way to CYYZ. What gives? used to get winter textures before SU14. That's because, with exception of an area just south of CYWG, there is no snow at this time. I was actually really surprised to see hardly no snow cover (in real life) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, that is very odd and scary for 2 JAN!
January 2, 20242 yr Thanks to climate change snow is becoming rare in Wisconsin. Major winter storm this week however. sp

If you want to see snow, take a flight down in the Virgin Islands. There was plenty there when I flew over yesterday. I never saw that before they "fixed" the issue. LouP
