FlyTampa KLAS V2

The updated scenery is causing major stutters and several texture loading issues for me. Otherwise, it looks fantastic.

I am using an Xbox x. Anyone else having similar performance?

I have the same issue and I’m running a 4090…

I think by now there is a majority consensus that you need a mega quantum computer in order to run this scenery at 20+ fps.

From my VR experience when coming in for a runway 19L/R approach, there was always a couple brief initial load pauses with this addon scenery.

On very high visual settings there's alot of scenery objects down there on the Vegas strip to be processed and rendered. Nothing sim breaking for me but always something to watch out and prepare for on final.

Now has it worsened since the last update?

I haven't been there lately.

Well, they should know by now that V2 needs a little work.

It might be the new sphere. The detail up close is unreal.

I have zero issues with the update.  Runs as good or better than last version.  I'm wondering if people having issues installed the new one on top of the old one?  I would recommend completely deleting the two vegas folders (City and airport) and installing from scratch.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I run a 8700k and a 2080. V2 runs much better on my system than previous updates.

Runs better than previous version on my system.... RTX 4080... and 2070 over network (home cockpit 2 machines for two views).....

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Hey Dave - Thanks for mentioning about the install procedure.  I went ahead and took the original V2 install out, as well as the Las Vegas City Lights addon from FlyTampa that was still lingering there, reinstalled V2 without the lights folder, and now it's much better.  Still mid to high 20's on the FPS counter, but much much more flyable than before.  The scenery still need optimization for sure, but much better.  Thanks.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

Love it as well. The ILS works great in the PMDG birds using the scenery priority adjustments, but the Fenix still has issues with it since it uses it's own copy of the nav data and completelt disregards package priority. I wasn't aware of it until yesterday, but it would seem that the Fenix also follows a glide path that is too low then flying the RNAV 26L approach.

Good thing Vegas has a lot of nice weather. Looks like Airbus arrivals will all be visual approaches for a while.

I've the same video card as you and KLAS v2.0 runs great. No stutters, 60-70fps. Your MSI 4090 is not the problem.

I have the marketplace version wanted to check how the update’s running as the first post last week had several people with performance issues. (Like this one!) Good to see a bunch of you guys getting good/better performance/smoother. I have yet to update  and obviously don’t want to have worse performance. BTW, the old “with marketplace versions you have to wait forever for updates” rhetoric needs to end. Seems like KLAS update was out in the marketplace a few days after released on their site/Orbx, etc. Not bad.
