Who's going to step up and develop a "High Fidelity" 787 payware that we don't have to rely on and buying a Premium Deluxe version of MSFS to use the default with a bunch of mods to be flyable but sill has bad flight models? QW we are looking at you.

I agree. Hopefully it’s something PMDG will look at, because QW are all but dead.

Good list.. beyond airliners there's also a lot of GA high fidelity birds to look forward to from the big devs.. I'm especially interested in what A2A have cooking for MSFS next.

Let's also not forget Fenix's A321 and A319.

PMDG's 777 will likely be the first to release from the list.

As far as FSL is concerned I wonder if their A32x or possible A330 will drop first versus the Concorde.

Combine all these with MSFS 2024 and it's gonna be a great two years!

Yup. There are so many GA planes coming out for MSFS, I couldn't fit them all into this list, lol.  And some top GA developers like A2A, Blackbird Simulations, Just Flight, FSReborn, etc, will be coming out with some quality GA planes for MSFS in the next few years. There are even some DCS developers making add-ons for MSFS.  MSFS is like a magnet now for 3rd party devs, many 3rd party devs are attracted to make add-ons for MSFS and I think we will see some quality add-ons for MSFS in the next few years 👍

You don't need any mods to make the 787-10 flyable, it's completely flyable by itself now.

Plus 2024 itself is going to come with a bunch of airliners according to Jorg.
There's at least the A330-200, if that model in the trailer wasn't a static model.

Yup very likely some outsourced 3rd party aircraft will be part of the default fleet, and I'm sure also some more Working Title magic on existing AAU birds or new ones.

Sure hope it's not Aerosoft's A330 as that will never get released, clearly.

I have to buy the Premium version of MSFS (which i'm not and never paid that  much (120$) for a simulator/game before) for the 787 and seeing all these streamers struggle to land this thing don't make matters better. It flies like world not allowed and not even close to payware addons comments by many people.

The alluring specter of dropping into the MSFS market is much too overwhelming, even for FSL who's been P3d focused despite the fact its not the market of choice for the majority of simmers.

I can almost guarantee that in those months of silence, not one minute on developer time was put to P3d bug fixing, rather trying to get the Concorde into MSFS.  They are probably now just seeing how far behind they are, even with the full steam efforts to grasp the completely different coding they have to deal with now.

This is similar to what Captain Sim did...working on a rather good P3d 767, promising to keep developing and refining, in addition to releasing a highly anticipated freighter...making not one peep over many months on the progress of fixes or the freighter.  Then one day just announcing their 1st MSFS product.  Since then, they released the freighter as a pax model with a painted-on main cargo door, and not one version-update to the base 767 since.  Don't even ask about their comical attempt to bring the 737 model past a late beta stage, despite all their promises.

They still won't admit that P3d work for them is dead, but then again they never were good at communicating things like that.

Ray, you're going to have to move to MSFS if you want to see a truly revolutionary Concorde in a flightsim, as FSL has sadly just announced .   Don't worry, you have a lot of simmers here willing to help you through the transition. 🙂   Unless they address the P3d bugs as an afterthought...You have the final, complete, and "finished" version of the P3d Concorde on your PC. 😞

I don't participate in pi...ing match between P3D vs MSFS game, but out of blue, just before XMAS, MSFT had a big sale for 2024 version and I decided to get it. Figured, had spare (blank) M.SSD installed and not used for anything. Well, not sure what to say. Few days latter I parked small Cessna at LOWI with real weather...I mean, seriously?? While i fly exclusively between FL 32-40 with tubeliners, I couldn't resist to say WOW....Anyway, after initial pain (cameras, where is what, binding Joystick, throttle and everything else) I spent few hrs and somehow got to me. Got 739 from PMDG, GSX pro,  and few sceneries offered for Holidays and I am at a couple hundred hrs in the air so far. Really liking it. Had a few issues with stutters and performance, managed to find good settings on YT and I am happy to say that, look, feeling, smoothness (avg 60-70 FPS) is impressive. Of course, I managed to screw cameras (and still unable to fix drone look and walk) but everything else looks good. Yeah, WX radar doesn't work but other then that all good. Except, have hard time landing 739 in MSFS than I had in P3D, and I have no clue why, maybe someone has idea. Only explanation I have is that wind is more realistic on MSFS, specially sidewind....I have no idea...

And of course, I am waiting, desperately for FSL to come out with something...but they are stuck I guess at the moment...

That is my experience with MSFS....

I hope we get more classic jet tubeliners in MSFS.  A few being developed but have been for years.  737 Jurassic's and Classic's long with a DC-9 package and everything else.

I know Blackbird is/was working on the 732 but that seems to have gone silent.  A 727 is supposedly in the works but not much on it lately.  Kind of surprised Sky Simulations has not moved its DC-9 package over to MSFS by now.

At some point things will probably really blossom in regards to aircraft development but right now its kind of slow going.  What we have gotten is pretty amazing for the most part but 3 or 4 years in we should have more by now.  I think what happens is it has become so complex developing aircraft each developer picks its own poison and nobody else touches it.  When that developer goes cold it leaves us high and dry.  Some exceptions to that like several Airbus A320 NEO developers but we have had a lot of vaporware projects as well.

It does not help in previous sims we literally had almost everything available.  MSFS will likely never be like that but what we will get will be pretty cool.

Examples?

Am I entirely mistaken, or are you not also motivated to downplay it, because you don't want to concede that you possibly have bought the wrong sim version?

I bought the best version (standard) of MSFS for my needs. I fly the Maddog most of the time and a little bit of PMDG 736 but looking for a quality 787, WT did a great job of A to  B flying with default but that thing (Premium 787) flies like junk not enough for an extra 60$ spend for me. Default 747 is much better and comes with the standard.

I think MSFS actually will be like that in the not too distant future.

What does seem evident is the demand or perhaps more accurately; the ambition to produce more and more accurate products be it modelling or systems wise.

This takes time…

How do you know, you've never flown it.

I do flightily weekly, it flies fine.

Flew the 789 yesterday and flew quite nice landing was a little floaty. Streamers seem fine using it especially doing 16hr flights. It does the job nicely till at least a payware becomes available if ever. What Working Title/Horizon have done have made it so much better than it was. The best was standard before now its the Premium IMO.

However, I don't think Leonardo is doing themselves any favors with their pricing strategy.

Yes, the price and that I have to buy on Simmarket, which I am averse to doing with their app. I have a couple of times look at it and thought it might be interesting to learn -- I never had it in P3D -- but given I would need to purchase the base and expansion packs it is just more than I am willing to pay.
