February 13, 20242 yr The hotfix driver seems to work flawlessly - sim is almost stutter-free on my system. Btw from the release notes "Some users may experience intermittent micro-stuttering in games when vertical sync is enabled". Does this mean that there should be no performance benefit unless v-sync is enabled in NCP? I only use g-sync. Edited February 13, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

The way I read it, that problem is now fixed, so Vsync or Gsync (which is another kind of Vsync really) should be all good - you have no worries Cpt! As a more technical explanation, the issue seemed more linked to hitching when it was trying to synchronise frames rather than anything to do with performance. So there is no raw framerate benefit from the fix at all, just added smoothness for the ones having problems with stuttering / skipping / hitching in Vsync modes (for those that were having the problems - not sure it was everyone as I didn't see it). No, standard Vsync as well, which can be used without a special monitor of course. But like I say, it is only a bug fix for people who had stuttering on synchronisation, no performance benefit, just less aggravation! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I know, was just wondering about the specific wording re: v-sync and microstutters in the hotfix release notes. btw I've got fps locked to 120 which is my monitor refresh rate using RTSS. Can't remember the reason behind the 3fps lower, although I remember reading it somewhere, sometime... 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
