The Beechcraft Baron is renowned for asymmetric thrust flipping it into into an unrecoverable flat spin. That's probably why spins in that aircraft are prohibited, unless of course, you are a test pilot. .
February 16, 20242 yr My instructor wouldn't even practice stalls in the T, she was so afraid of a spin or otherwise unusual flight regime. She insisted we rent an Archer for stall training. I agreed but was put off by +30% cost per hour. Now, I see why. April 6, 20242 yr With proper technique even many rotations into a fully developed spin the Tomahawk is recoverable. Edited April 6, 20242 yr by Lonesome Cowboy Burt
April 6, 20242 yr This is so exciting and so awesome, first the Duke now the Tomahawk - finally someone really goes the extra mile to make all these cool little classic GA planes actually very deep, fascinating, including several flight engineering maintenance and engine-mechanics related realism features. Wear and tear, cold start problems, open the bonnet to check the spark plugs, do virtual a walk-around and really see the awesome plane and it´s technical features like gear well control surfaces engine block and functional circuit breakers really parking in front of the VR headset, and so much more! This really brings the simulator to life and brings on that awesome my-own-real-personal-plane with all it´s quirks and maintenance needs feeling. Even if it´s only simulated. Two years the simpletons kept barking in unison in a certain forum I was kicked from: "no one needs this, no one cares about that, no one is interested in all of this, pffff a virtual walkaround ahaha what a nonsense go and buy a real plane if you are so interested in general aviation, go and touch grass because no one cares about the oil temperature or g-forces or realistic fuel consumption, what you want a realistic fuel calculation when was your last Asperger test hahaha no one cares about realistic fuel consumption and flight planning the sim has a simple build-in route planner from airport A to airport B, no one cares if there is a heating or oxygen system for passengers simulated this is getting ridiculous we are now simulating virtual air (even if the pressurization system is crucial part of every jetliner) you better go and touch grass now, no one cares about electrical circuit breakers or if a simulated battery has enough voltage to start, no one in sound mind is interested in electrics engines turbines or avionics or cares about anything related to airplanes and aviation at all when buying a flight simulator.........." And they almost won, simply be repeating this often enough until many people started to find this mindset "catchy", until Fenix said, "Whatever, we simulate all that other stuff that is not strictly related to going from A to B but absolutely interesting for all true aviation fans nonetheless!" And along came Black Square soon afterwards and did the same new gold quality standard but this time for GA flying one year later (TBM, Baron and Bonanza and soon the Dukes), and now Just Flight too. We are now entering a glorious true new golden era of flight simulation 🙂

April 7, 20242 yr This plane looks like an abomination:p. It looks like what would happen if a piper and a cessna had a baby and this would be the outcome…. Maybe its just me but I think the plane looks word not allowed ugly:p I may still buy it though, might be fun:) Edited April 7, 20242 yr by Kaboki

My comment was mostly about the look:p. I dont go into aerodynamic politics how safe it is, actually if it has weaknesses and they simulate it it would be cool:). Probably buy it too because this “own the plane” stuff is right up my alley, and sometimes find ugly planes cool too in its own way:). Not trying to bash anything:) Edited April 7, 20242 yr by Kaboki
