May 17, 20242 yr Hello, I have a question and I apologize if this was covered elsewhere in this thread.... I have downloaded nvngx_dlss_3.7.0 and nvngx_dlssg_3.7.0 files and are using them which allows me to set to ultra quality when using DLSS with frame generation. However, this app is showing that I am not using FG. The app says my frames are about 45 when Riva Tuner is saying they are at 60 ( I have vsync on and frame limiter set in the nvidia control panel and my monitor runs at 60 Hz). This means that my TLOD starts to decrease even though I am at 60 fps. What is the best way to address this? Should I set the target to 30 fps and ignore the FG? Thanks. Don Polidori

Are you keeping AutoFPS "on top"? If so you need to mouse-click back on MSFS itself to insure it is the active Windows application. When AutoFPS is on top and it is the active Windows app, FG in MSFS is disabled. Added a section from 0.4.2.16 release notes for reference: Quote Added decrease cloud option with user definable cloud reduction and recovery GPU loads for all AutoLOD automation methods. Requires GPU-Z companion app to be running in order to provide the app with GPU load information. To better facilitate this, GPU-Z can now be started at any time and the GPU-Z gpu load reading is now a 5 second average to smooth out transient GPU load spikes. The user will be notified in status bar if GPU load is selected and GPU-Z is not running. IFR and VFR flight modes will use the same cloud reduction method. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
May 18, 20242 yr Edit: figured out most issues. But for some reason it’ll be running at minimum tlod at altitude sometimes. I have vsync on and target fps set at a few below so not sure why it would be doing that. Just completed a flight and it started dropping to my tlod max as I started descending. It stayed at the max even as I was approaching LGA until I got closer to my tlod base. Still no idea why it would be running at the min at cruise. May 20, 20242 yr I'm still having issues with the program not opening even though it's running in the task manager. I've reinstalled probably a dozen times now and it keeps happening. Any ideas? 5800x3d Asus 4090 ROG Strix OC 2TB SSD 32GB Ram

In Task Manager - do you see AutoFPS as an App or Background Process? My problems with no program output to the screen occurs when AutoFPS runs in the background, which by Windows definition, means there is no screen interaction. I do not understand how AutoFPS ends up in the background. It happens (AutoFPS moves from an App in the foreground to a background process) on my system when the MSFS ends abnormally or if I end AutoFPS by closing it or clicking the x in the top left corner of AutoFPS. The ONLY way I have found to move AutoFPS back to the foreground (make it become an App again) is to kill the background process, use the AutoFPS installer to remove the app and then use the autoinstaller to reinstall AutoFPS. I have also found that starting MSFS2020_AutoFPS as an administrator process makes it less likely to move to the background. It is all a bit strange! But, the app works perfectly and I use it every time I fly. Kill the Process - I found that I had to explicitly kill (a windows command) the background process BEFORE I did the REMOVE using the autoinstaller.
