PMDG Update 3.0.92

Featured Replies

Found it interesting that Mathijs posted this recently, FWIW: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/288084-22mar24-bits-of-this-and-that-about-big-and-little-twins/page4#post289104

There has been major progress this weekend. RSR just told me he and Alex cleared 80 issues from the bug tracker in the last two days.

ou have to understand that the 777 is a bit of a special release for PMDG. It is not only the first of a new aircraft platform but also one where we want to deliver a product that is 'complete' (whatever that may mean). So, it is a release without promises to add things, without a large list of things we still would like to change, etc.

We are in no rush. In most companies, a release date has to be set because a sales or marketing department needs to plan for it. And everybody gets mightily upset when things change. Not so in PMDG. I am the marketing/sales department, and nobody listens to me. So, the ONLY factor determining a release date is how happy the devs and beta testers are.

That second paragraph stood out.. proof as always will be in the pudding, but it's good they are striving to release as 'complete' a product as possible.. wonder if that means the RNP & RF support will be there in the first 777 release as opposed to a subsequent update.

I don't believe they've said that, because they did say the new stuff like announcements is being developed separately from major releases, which contradicts that entirely.

I think they did...

  • Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del
  • Windows Lock screen appears
  • Press cancel

I did the above for a few lock-ups, and perhaps it was the refreshing of the display, context or runtimes, but it 100% gave me my controls back.

Thank you! I was trying something similar. I assume its just an odd bug with the EFB and/or camera. Next time, I will just follow these steps.

I would interpret this as meaning it won't be something like the 737 where they added the EFB later on, for example. But that the core features the aircraft is supposed to have will all be there, and that fleet wide new features like GSX integration or announcements will still come later, as they're not specific to the 777. Otherwise, I don't know why they would say these things will come later, separate from major releases, in the Q&A video.

I think they got a lot of flack for releasing an "early access" product and then taking such a long time to complete the things that were missing, some still have not been completed and we are almost 2 years since release.

Just to say that the above 'hack' did not work following a failure of my keyboard and joystick/rudder, during a 9.5 hour flight in the PMDG BBJ.... 😡      Had to exit the flight just 40 miles to destination, after 9 hours.

Quit the sim, went to PMDG Ops Centre and there was a new update.   Not going to be testing the PMDG 737 on a long-hauler any time soon though!   I'm in a great, stropping big huff with PMDG at this point! 😄

That's about 8 hours longer than I can tolerate flying long haul. 😉

Ouch, guess I was lucky that mine failed as soon as I imported the flight plan.

Did the update, then did a 3 hour flight without issue!..

There was around 6 hours of sleep slotted in between those 9 hours 😄

For folks that like long haul flights, when they are away from their PC.... You can ride a bike without being there. A bike on Autopilot.

Does PMDG have any plans for a cabin interior for their original 737-700 for MSFS?
