Kevin, short of my scouring this entire thread, I must apologise if the queston has already been discussed, but what is the performance hit like? FSHUD, in my experience has quite a big hit on the sim.

Tough question to answer.  And to be completely honest I don't 100% know, because there are still optimisations being implemented right now on that front.  So what I tell you now, is the truth now, but it may be out of date by the end of the week.

Also, performance is heavily dependant on your system, how hard you run it, your sim settings, other addons etc.  So it's very much a moving target.  What's ok for one person, won't be ok for another.  And I will get shot down in flames short of rw27 threshold at EGGP for anything I say 😄

So, having said that...  Performance should not not too dissimilar to if you run AIGTC, because they are doing essentially the same thing.  Vox may be a little worse because TC injects the traffic but the sim controls it, and Vox doesnt use the same way to control its injected AI.  And that's to be expected, given Vox does additional things that the sim doesn't do, ATC-wise.

I can't claim it has no impact, the beefier your system, the less chance there is of you noticing any impact or having to make compromises elsewhere.   Looking at your specs, I'd be absolutely gobsmacked if you had any problems, with that 7800X3D and a 3090 running at 4k.   Its better than my system and I don't have any issues unless I really push it to the extreme, and that's with my MSFS settings all at Ultra.

Does that help?

Great reply Kevin, thanks for the information, appreciated.

I'll answer this one. I've done some extensive testing, and it's no worse than running AIG or FSLTL for AI traffic. I.e. it doesn't perform worse in any way than running AI traffic. With my hardware, I've been able to run AIG traffic at 50% stutter-free at major hubs with VoxATC with a bit of fine-tuning. In other words: by far the biggest performance impact is from AI traffic - VoxATC in itself seems to have a relatively small footprint.

VoxATC voice demo version 2.0 is up. I decided to focus on freeware Gatwick for this one https://flightsim.to/file/5784/gatwick-egkk-ultra-star-edition-phase-1-0

Nice! Less confusing, haha!

The very start of the video got me excited already (key or button for first officer)! 🙂 Looking forward to what else is coming concerning the voices: Cereproc voices are a bit too expensive for me...

I suppose you left a few voices unfiltered so we could hear various options? I'd personally would make all voices (apart from first officer) 'readio degraded' (or however you call it).

Thanks for this new video, much appreciated!

No guarantee of button control within any timeframe.

Still unclear to me. I guess there is one single button to activate the First Officer to make the next standard request? But if we want to request something special like a different runway/procedure or altitude there is no button for that but we need to use our voice?

Button/key to let FO handle comms. Currently "0" to bring up other options (e.g. going around, different approach). No voice interaction with ATC is needed, if one prefers that. @kevinfirth please correct me if I'm wrong.

No static/filter on FO as she's sitting right next to me 🙂 I quite like the Scottish accent. And I agree - CereProc voices will get expensive very fast. I purchased a few to test, but I'm mostly using Windows natural voices. Currently 300+ from around the world, should cover most destinations. No promises though as it's a work in progress.

Please, Kevin, don't correct him, haha!

Haha, I hope he doesn't 🙂 Having the FO handle the comms is a simple as hitting a button / key. Currently holding east of VEBEK, inbound course 270, 2nm legs, waiting for further clearance, expected runway 24 into Orly. Loving the French accents on the frequency!

could to hear paired numbers ...... but still no "climb via"s with an RNAV sid (perhaps with a TOP)

& ps ... don't forget PF/PNF chatter in PNF mode

& ps why are AI using closed taxiways .... another MSFS glitch it seems

for now, cheers

Here’s another beta preview video, this time in iniBuilds A300-600RF from Stuttgart to Nice, featuring a VOR approach to rwy 22L. I handpicked voices to get appropriate accents for the controllers.

I'm.sorry, you're entitled to your opinion about what you prefer, but you are wrong that BATC does everything as well.   I am not going to enter into a debate about the relative merits or otherwise of BATC, apart from correcting your factual statement.

Whoah there buddy, you can't "Correct" someone's opinion with your own...neither are facts
