Aaaaah, okay... Clear. I'd personally keep it at 1 com at a time LOL

Impressive though...!

Same - would quickly get a headache listening to Gatwick tower and ground simultaneously 😅 I deliberately did it to demonstrate different controller voices, which was the main purpose of the video.

That's what you hear if you monitor 2 freqs on com1 and com2 in a cockpit 😉

Impressive though...! I will have another look at the video now I know what I am looking at!

I also often have two frequencies active on COM1 and COM2 (at a lower volume than COM1) when using FSHud. For example during taxi for takeoff I monitor both Ground and Tower to get the full picture of what is happening around me. Very immersive.

That only makes sense of course with a real ATC-addon that also controls AI traffic like FSHud or VoxATC.

Wilco, I’ll make sure to include that in my next video!

Here’s a quick demo of a variety of different voices at Gatwick, Oslo, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan and LA.

Okay, so I had another look and now while knowing what I am actually looking at and... I am impressed! 🙂

Seems that pilots also have various accents...? Depending on whom they fly for or where they come from?

Thanks, I truly think if you aren't impressed, you don't actually understand what you're seeing. That's not condescending, this kind of app is tremendously difficult to get right, so total and utter respect to all developers of ALL ATC apps for getting stuck in and having a go.

Lots of different accents, they are currently not selected automatically, but we're going to look into it.

That was the main point I wanted to make - the possibility of having German accents in Frankfurt, Norwegian in Oslo and French in Paris. It’s something we’re currently looking into. IMO it can be extremely immersive, if the voice quality is good enough.

Would another video with only one active frequency at the time be okay? Just don’t want to spend a lot of time editing if it’s more confusing than useful. Don’t want to put VoxATC in a bad light - I think it’s got a lot of potential.

Yes, that sounds good enough for me. 🙂

How’s Munich to Paris Orly for the next flight? Hopefully I’ll be able to demonstrate more German and French voices, as well as letting the FO handle the comms.

My only issues was the fact that com1 and 2 were open at the same time without any information about it. First I thought it was just a mix where examples faded in and out.

Capt Piett makes awesome videos and I have spent a lot of time watching them lately.

everything you hear there relates to an individual AI in the SIM, and it's doing exactly what it's instructed to.

I wonder where VoxATC gets the AI data from? Taking EasyJet as an example they do NOT use callsigns like EASY8624, but EASY26JH, EASY77AS. Check on FR 24 at Gatwick and you'll see.

Thanks, very happy to hear that! Currently making another voice demo video, similar to the first one, but less confusing 👍

They are from the AIG flightplans. AIG started using alphanumeric callsigns in the last year, not all flightplans have those already, and it is not easy to add them apparently.  AIGs data provider only provides the numeric ones, and AIG has to add the alphanumeric ones manually.

Kevin, short of my scouring this entire thread, I must apologise if the queston has already been discussed, but what is the performance hit like? FSHUD, in my experience has quite a big hit on the sim.
