July 13, 20241 yr Hmmm.. just downloaded the .zip install package for Version 8 from github and was warned of the wacatac.B!ml trojan. Windows Defender immediately quarantined the file. No idea if its a false positive or not but I think I'll err on the side of caution and pass for now.

I just downloaded from flightsim.to and got no warnings. However, I got an error when I installed but the program seems to be running fine. Before this, the texture counter triggered maybe every tenth or twentieth texture, as well as a picture of these textures. Now the counter changes every single texture, which creates the appearance of accelerated work. I checked the texture download speed - exactly the same as it was before.

Interesting but I sometimes notice blurry textures in 2024 but that was with its built dynamic settings. I hope in the future we can "fix" or have fixed some of the maps. 2020 is still great, no doubt. I have since moved on to 2024 as I think it looks amazing with reshade (no fps loss) and active sky etc. Thankfully i still have 2020 to fly my dc6 and 737s otherwise thats it. Atmos makes 2020 a whole lot better, you're right about that. I do disagree that 2024 is overall more blurry. I was under the impression the maps were the same in both simulators.
