MSFS 2024

Featured Replies

Since I have been unable to launch the program in several weeks (and I understand others are in the same situation) I'm wondering if anyone knows the planned release date of the next version.

There is no release date set. Not even a time frame.

And there are no widespread problems of launching the program.

Both statements are true though it is generally thought that msfs2024 will probably launch around the beginning of November unless any snags crop up along the way.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

If you can’t launch 2020, why would you want to double down on potential pain with 2024?

Sorry to say this bud but the sim not launching may be "possible" its on your end. Have you gone to the official forums and file a bug report. That may be more useful and someone there could help you solve your issue.

You must have done a complete new install of Windows along with MSFS 2020 to resolve this, yes?

I have reinstalled the sim, but not Einfows11.  Is that what I have to do?

The problem came up with the most recent update.  I'm hoping that it will be possible to use the new one.

It may well be possible.  I haven't done that because it won't let me start a new topic.

More specifically, what is the issue?

I had an issue with the app that just required me to log out and back in again, but it had blocked MSFS from running.

What have you tried Andy? Any error messages? Rename community folder? We could use a bit more info. I've had it fails to launch several times in the past and it's usually some corrupt file or addon.

I doubt anyone knows what you have to do but if you were able to run the sim w/ your hardware previously that would be what I would do, start entirely fresh.
