Because it was going downhill pretty fast. I'm one of the users that moved from v3 to XP11. It's not a surprise it had those numbers back then. Today P3D is basically dead (domestic market), so it was very fast.

I was talking about the sales of the PMDG777 during the primetime of P3D compared to the ones for MSFS. Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense.

Awww if you're bent on not believing PMDG that's your prerogative obviously. When it comes to discussing and pontificating on how PMDG's products are doing sales and numbers wise for the various sims it has developed for the over the years, I'm going to go by the PMDG CEO's words, rather than internet randoms who don't seem to like what PMDG is saying 🤷‍♂️ And we can only go by whatever details PMDG are willing to share can't we?

Well go ask RSR, only he can share those 🙂 If this has to a statistics based dissertation for you to believe what PMDG is saying, then ya you're gonna have to get the raw numbers from them I'm afraid. But even then they could be lying right, so you might as well demand actual evidence of all the sales 🤣

And, also, not just Randazzo's words, we just had a half an hour presentation about the Marketplace. The numbers are impressive. It's not just PMDG.

We were speaking about the number of sales for P3D vs MSFS. This 1000x bigger market mentionned by PMDG must very likely be related to nowadays market and not on the one during the whole lifetime of P3D. So someone mentionned this source out of context.
