July 17, 20241 yr It took me 15 minutes to find 3 errors in community. I might have needed hours without this app. When you click the Add All button, then it flags all suspected errors and suggests possible reasons for the errors for each of them. So you know what to suspect and can go check them out. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 18, 20241 yr Indeed great tool , i dont seem to have any issues besides some long loading time (5-10m) depends ofcause but is there a way to test or is it only when flagged as you describe? Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe

July 18, 20241 yr Author I don't quite understand Michael's question. By the way, I use AOL to run stuff in and out of official, not just in and out of community. You have to put the assets in two different folders. One folder sends links to official. The other folder sends links to community. And of course both AOL folders are organized into subfolders. One click imports/exports to community and official at the same time. THAT has saved me a ton of time, as well.

I was just curious if AOL shows other stuff than flagged items. Michael Moe Michael Moe
July 18, 20241 yr Author Actually if AOL loads all desired assets but also duplicates and assets with misaligned folders inside them, the loading time for MSFS will hardly change at all. So, no, I don't believe AOL can diagnose slow loading times. It does reduce loading time because you can click away some or all of your community assets. Or some or all of the non essential Official assets (airports and planes) which is quicker by 100 fold than doing this with MSFS content manager). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Thanks guys for the nice feedback 🍻 You're right, AL can't diagnose slow loading times, the loading is a completely internal process to the sim so it's hard to know exactly what might be causing that and there's not really a scientific way that i know of that could improve the loading times. @Michael Moe, that being said and i might be wrong (i don't have many addons), in my experience slow loading times are mainly due to the number of files included in the addon. For example, my biggest addons is 'AIG traffic' and it has over 60'000 files on my installation, the loading time for me is increased by 4-5 minutes if i enable it (i have a 9 years old PC so my loading times might be slower than the average 2024 simmers). So i think that if you have 100 addons activated that have 10 files each the sim will load a lot faster than if you you have 5 addons activated with 50'000 files each. I think that's why some people say correctly that they have 100's of addons activated and they don't see much difference when all are activated, i think it really depends on 'what kind of addons' you have instead of 'how many' you have. Photogrametry addons are probably the most impactuf as they contain a huge number of files. The speed of the disk where that addons are located is obviously also importand, if you use an old HDD drive it will obviously be a lot slower than a modern SSD. Now all this blabla 😱 for a little Addons Linker hint if you want to check the addons with most files which might be the ones slowing up your loading : In the options screen first tab, enable the 'enable file stats' checkbox. (this will make AL load slower if you have lots of addons managed by AL so remove the option when you have finished with it) restart AL use the menu 'Tools -> Addons Grid View' A new screen open, click twice on the column 'Files count' so that the column gets sorted with the most files being shown at the top. This might give you an idea of the addons having the most impact on your loading times remove the option if needed as explained on the first step (you can also export the list to an XLS file for further reference) Like i said, this is only based on my personal experience and might not be accurate info, just an info in case you want to check, but results may vary 🙈 Take care 🍻 Edited July 18, 20241 yr by Bad_T
