August 23, 20241 yr In my case i need glasses to read a book and don't use them when using the sim and have no issues between the pmdg and fenix fonts to able to read them. August 23, 20241 yr FWIW, I'm way more interested in completely different manufacturer's aircraft than multiple variants of the same series. And I can't for the life of me understand anyone who gets excited / upset over different engines or wing-tip devices. I at least need different series, e.g. 737, 767, 747. The differences in handling there are, of course, significant, and they've been around so long that you can even have steam gauge 3 pilot cockpits & hydraulics all the way thru full glass 2 pilot cockpits and fly-by-wire. Those are true differences... I'll just go back to my "I wish I didn't have to buy the A320 and the 321 just to get the 319...". Different strokes, and kudos to Fenix! Whilst I have never experienced that with the 737 or 777 (I only had the LR/F in P3D), the 747 package had P&W/GE/RR options, and these all sounded (and behaved) appreciably differently. That was rather satisfying 🙂 Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
August 23, 20241 yr A fool argument but anyways: The Fenix A320 was underpriced when you realize the quality of this add-on and the fun it is going to give us for many years to come So buying the extension, which is again at a fair price give Fenix the money they deserved at first glance.
August 23, 20241 yr Great question. I bought mine to enable me to fly into smaller regional airports. The A319 for example in real life, EasyJet now flies in and out of my local Southampton (EGHI) to e.g Geneva, Glasgow, Faro, Belfast, whereas the A320 is to big for that runway; plus Edinburgh to Reykjavik which I also like. As a bonus for me, the 4,000nm+ range of the A321 will also provide me with medium-range capability (e.g. trans Alaska/Canada and USA) as well as other medium haul-routes which I can't get to with the A320. I had considered the PMDG 777 but decided as I am not type rated in the sim on the 777 but already am on the A320 (joke) that this would be a great compromise. 😉
August 24, 20241 yr Just in case someone still wants to be convinced: The A319 offers a lot new destinations the A320 can't go to because of too short runways. I just flew the A319 (not fully loaded) from ENBO to ENSH and back, which involves a 3114 ft runway at ENSH. Not sure if this would be legal IRL (a Dash8 is used for this flight IRL) but it is doable in the sim (give your brakes some time to cool down after your full manual braking before departing again...).

Bonus is that the 319 also has 4k+ range 🙂 eta: love this video on short field ops from FlightDeck2Sim 😂 Edited August 25, 20241 yr by UrgentSiesta

I flew the -600 a lot after that 😁 I probably won’t get the A319 though. Nothing wrong with it, just happy with the 320. Edited August 25, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
