SWS PC-12 Update 3 Sept 2024

Featured Replies

I had the issues mentioned above with sim crashing and having to restart multiple times before I could fly. I really like the PC-12 and keep hoping I can like this version but after this update I am just parking it again. Never been in one but have spent a lot of time in King Air B200's and this thing just continues to feel wrong, and to me the ground handling is still awful. Just my personal opinion; curious what others think.

Hello gents, SWS is publishing updates on their store first, presumably to test if the installer is working correctly (before it spreads). Third party stores get it with a slight delay of a coupl

From the beginning I have tried so hard to like this thing and just convince myself it is unique, but at the end of the day it just feels unlike any other aircraft I've ever used in any flight sim. Some aspects are improved but it is still completely unenjoyable in my opinion. At this point I'm tempted to just count my loses and buy the Carenado one so I at least have a PC12 to fly.

I haven't gotten chance to try it yet, but before latest patch I never had a problem with steering on the ground or take off. There was some vertical stability issues especially during approach.

Here some col vid of pattern work

Hi fellow simmers,

Just downloaded version 1.3.7 and selected TDS GTN compatibility during the install process, but when I launch the PC-12, it does not show my TDS-GTN. What do I need to do to install the TDS GTN?

??? confused here, how does SimMarket offer version 1.3.8?  was going to buy it but now I have no idea what I would be getting.

Interested to hear any further reviews. After all the delay in getting the updates to this point, I'm waiting to hear if anything is really improved on the flight dynamics before I'm even going to reinstall.

Good god. Gave it another try sim crashed after the new update.  Tried again.  And another thing: it just annoys me. I couldn't steer via rudder and the plane felt incredibly slow/lethargic more than I remember. Some of these reasons are my fault but at this point I am too grumpy to even bother with this. Moving on

I never had problem with taxi with PC-12 before. And seems like no one complaining about it on discord after the patch. I'm not sure what is your expectations are but heavier GA airplane don't taxi like your car. You have to use combination of rudder, throttles and brakes.

We don't have to go far - a lot of students initially  can't turn even 172 in tight places, especially during runup. It takes some practice for them actually learn how to taxi in those places without speeding up or burning brakes LOL

Neither have I. think they added a setting to switch types of steering. Was flying this plane just a few days ago in a group flight with no issues. As I said, probably just my fault.

This wouldn't budge. Meh. I will go back to it tomorrow probably

Same here - I also expected to really like this plane. But, for me, it's just not enjoyable to fly. F2024 will have Pilatus PC-12 NGX from Carenado.  I may wait to see if that is any good.

Installed the new version with some hope - system did not crash but I have no electric power, when I turn on BATT 1 and BATT 2 it shows no volts or amps everything is dead.

Tried uninstalling and re-installing, updated TDS-GTN. No joy. Can not spend hours trouble shooting...

Yes, I installed 1.3.8 but there is a problem with the electrical system on 5 bladed prop version, hope they fix it soon.

May be they pulled it back because contrails doesn't have it. Meanwhile TDS updated their software to 1.1.0.7

I think the sounds and the turboprop simulation are excellent. So I'm wondering if the flight dynamics have been noticeably improved at all.

I've had the pleasure of riding as pax in these aircraft several times IRL.

The SWS aircraft do NOT perform as IRL - they're MUCH weaker than IRL.

Hopefully this update fixes it!

Yeah, I have that one as well. I would avoid at all costs.
