The first flight was fine. I shut down MSFS after that, and when I started it up for a second flight , screens came up,  telling me how to set up MSFS, one page at a time couldn't back out, it only had a button on the right that said continue, , and when it did this it reset everything. I could not exit out of it,  This had to be something that they programmed into it, because I have never seen this before.

Since I saw this thread Bob I updated it and made a quick A2A test flight around KBOS and all was well.  Haven't tried to use the PMDG's yet.  I hope you can get this sorted.

I am thinking I may have to reinstall the 777.

Dang.  Sorry man.

Well I reinstalled the 777, same exact problem. Then I fired up my PMDG 737-800, and guess what, the UFT has the same issue. Can't connect to simbrief anymore. Looks like I will be flying the Fenix, which works fine.

I have this reset to windowed mode "every time" after an update, big or small, since the MSFS2020 was released.  I always need to set it back to full screen mode.

using  steam  version  have  no issues with any aircraft  after  the  update

Same happened to me 2 months ago. As if I started MSFS for the first time each time. Could not go by that screen. In the end, I decided to re-install it all. Two days of downloading.......

I put it in a ticket with PMDG last night, they sentme an email this morningand told me to try resetting the tablet, which I already tried yesterday. I started the 777 again this morning, I reset the tablet for the second time, and this time it worked. 777 is fixed. 

 

That update yesterday, reset every every setting in MSFS, everything. How the heck can an update to this?

Again it makes me wonder if the Devs play let alone test their own game, surely this has happened to at least one person within Asobo towers not to mention the countless bug/zendesk reports already made. 

Such schoolboy basic issues should've been dealt with years ago, it really is basic stuff; 

- Update to Sim, *save settings locally before update

- Check settings

- Settings reset 

- Can't retrieve from cloud

- *Load saved settings from local files

* This is the part that's missing in this Sim, saving everything locally so that it can be loaded in backup scenarios...but no....four years on....

they dont care,  it about money, it always was.

Yeah, I've only had my settings reset once during an update, but that was maybe 2-3 years ago. No issues since.

 

Very odd that it happens to some people but not others.
