Unfortunately, I don't work for that outlet anymore (got hit by the fun wave of layoffs earlier this year, so now I work for a different, brand-new one), so I'm not eligible to strike someone via content owned by my previous workplace. On top of that, it's likely that the small clips would be protected by fair use. Doesn't make any less dismaying to see my work abused to express obvious sarcasm in this trainwreck of a video, of course.

It’s these sort of glimpses that show you the scale and coverage of MSFS.

 I see no reason to doubt the kind of figures that Jorge has quoted in the past. It’s been a runaway success.

As to the “secret meeting”; isn’t this sort of preview for contributors and promoters completely normal?

They’ve already said they’ll release the SDK to developers in September. It seems obvious they’re gearing up for release as scheduled.

Preview events are 100% industry standard in the gaming industry. It's hilarious that this youtuber tries to sell it as some sort of secret conspiracy. What an a**.

AND I'll add that since it's a helicopter - a relatively unpopular type of aircraft - AND since MSFS has such a broad array of Default Addons, it's likely that this number is but the tip of the iceberg.

Given that this preview event was apparently in Phoenix, Arizona I'm quite liking some of Helisimmer's tweets from the past few days 🙂

Have we seen the same video? He literally defined it as a form of bribing people. His words, not mine. The whole "secret meeting" shtick is an obviously disingenuous attempt at making it sound shady, while it's something entirely normal that happens for every major game in the industry.
