Although to be fair to Jayne, she has been asking some questions recently that MB found difficult to answer, and even asked multiple times on the DX12 tiling issues when it was clear the panel did not understand what was happening in their own sim. Good on her! MB's initial response of "well, it's big world" on this issue was an utter disgrace as usual considering the amount of feedback given that something was wrong. I wish they could replace him with David Dedeine like they did when he was on holiday as I have no faith in this guy. You seem to lack a fundamental understanding of how game development in a big company works in any sizable company. There's no one that knows about every single issue in a complex game, and that's entirely normal. The fact that there are plenty of questions that have received a "I don't know" answer only proves that they're not selected and prepared in advance. The "utter disgrace" here isn't anything they've done or said. Edited September 14, 20241 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

However, you seem to 'lack a fundamental understanding' of what software development I have been involved with over the years. So your reply makes an assumption that is wide of the mark. Also, although you say "no one knows every single thing" is true as we know, but this DX12 issue had been on their own forums for about 18 months, and was already raised in Q&As previously. So I stand my original comment that to dismiss it with his statement like that was a disgrace. But all good! Just to clarify. My issue is solely with this guy (MB). Jorg is an absolute hero the way he is pushing the sim, and it is obvious SV loves improving it technically. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). September 14, 20241 yr Well, according to this stream by Adam J Pestridge, the "chosen" have already been invited for a pre-announcement familiarization with all that FS 2024 will be: MFS2024 Secret Meeting Before November (youtube.com) For me, regarding the 25th September Official Announcement I am just focusing on two main subjects: .) The announcement of some really big improvement to the flight and ground physics, preferably mentioning the cooperation of some seasoned high grade developer like Petrovich in that update from the present state of the art; .) The announcement of considerable updates to the weather engine, including the possibility to finally define low visibility / IMC situations, and even better, an "open for p3d with proper SDK" engine... Would also like to have stuff like the impossibility to properly fly over the North and South Poles announced as possible in FS2024... With all due respect, I'm not especially interested in what software development you claim to have been involved with over the years. From your own words, you lack the understanding that someone in that position not knowing about something (no matter how much it has been discussed) is absolutely normal. I'm also not especially interested in your personal evaluation of their knowledge of a specific problem besides the fact that the abuse of the hyperbolic words "utter disgrace" is not a good look. September 14, 20241 yr If that swag is real, I'm jealous. I want a MSFS branded water bottle. If he's right about the NDA being lifted Thursday, that will be exciting at least. "only" 2 million generic downloads of MS2020? and the majority are, like him, only re-downloads? as if Microsoft couldn't tell a re-download from a purchased license. and "many people told me they would wait at least 2 years before they will upgrade to MS 2024". how less scientific and less representative can such "research" be? if MS2024 is so much better than MS 2020, why would any MS2020 user not have purchased it at least by christmas? in closing: he prefers P3D and gives away $ 50,- vouchers for advertising for some online store every month on his channel. more power to him. Speaking of "utter disgraces" this youtuber and video certainly fit the definition. There's so much salt and misinformation in there that it's disgusting. He alleges that the millions of users Microsoft mentions are "downloads" and not users. That is false. They always said users or players. They never mentioned downloads. He alleges that only 10,000 people use MSFS, saying he "did his research" and "tracked the steam data and xbox data for months" to get to that conclusion. First of all, there is no Xbox data to track. Secondly he simply used SteamDB's figure for peak daily *concurrent* users on Steam only, which is around 10,000. He completely disregards the fact that concurrent users (IE online at the same time) on a single platform of several only represent a fraction of the userbase. IE: either he's not as smart as he believe he is, or he's intentionally lying to spread misinformation by misrepresenting the numbers. Mentions that Microsoft shut down Flight Sim World, which they did not. Flight Sim World was developed (and closed) by Dovetail Games, which is unrelated to Microsoft. He then accuses Microsoft of BRIBING media to sell more copies, which is such a malicious allegation that it isn't even funny. It's absolutely amazing that he dares to sling mud at other people's integrity in a video so chock full of bald-faced lies. Funny notes, he alleges that he has been "banned from streamers for supporting P3D" which, whatever it actually means, sounds absolutely ridiculous. He also thought himself entitled to steal clips from my interview with Jorg last year at my previous workplace (the one with Jorg doing the thumbs up) and he even used a shot from it as his thumbnail. I feel absolutely dismayed and very uncomfortable that my work has been included in this piece of excrement of a video. So yeah, that's not even really "funny." At least, I am not laughing. Seeing my work directly involved in this trainwreck is very sad. What an absolute and utter disgrace. Edited September 14, 20241 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

He will either have to take the clip out, take the video down and will even receive a strike once he gets 3 strikes he can say goodbye to Youtube. He got banned from Avsim if I remember correctly for trash talking MSFS. Reasons why streamers ban him is because he just doesn't know when to stop talking trash and can not accept what everyone says. He just wants to be right all the time its what he says goes or nothing. He spreads so much misinformation its unreal. Edited September 14, 20241 yr by carlanthony24
