September 25, 20241 yr 2024 only has one planet now Out of context that sounds funny Seb is describing the main menu. in 2020 the earth you saw there was just on the main menu. The Earth in the 2024 main menu is the same earth you fly on. I imagine that should fix the aircraft/boats that can randomly appear sticking out of it Edited September 25, 20241 yr by Tuskin38
September 25, 20241 yr Somebody wake me up when they start talking about more weather improvements and flight physics.

September 25, 20241 yr Seb said that he had an 8 core computer and he was on the ground at Heathrow and his cpu was around 81 - 83% usage in MS2024. Said that is why 12 core is ideal. I guess the glory days of having a 7800x3d which is 8 core is over. Eric

September 25, 20241 yr Moderator The norm of gaming laptops being sold with just 16GB RAM is hopefully coming to an end. It makes sense 2024 is going to need more RAM, with a lot moved to streaming and more geometry used to render the ground, etc.
September 25, 20241 yr oh wow it's not just 24 hour historical weather, it's 24 hour everything. Live traffic, live ship traffic etc. So if you scroll back 12 hours, you'll have the air traffic and boat traffic that existed 12 hours ago along with the weather they're no longer working with blackshark, haven't for years. Explains why we haven't seen any new autogen buildings for a while Edited September 25, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

I don't know the technical aspects of this kind of thing very well. The 7900X is also 12 core, but more than $100 cheaper.
September 25, 20241 yr They are no more working with Blackshark. They are reworking the autogen in-house. Jörg said the BS system was too limited. September 25, 20241 yr Very few new airports, most of the airports in 2024 are upgraded 2020 airports. They can't move airports that were in the 2020 Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions to the 2024 standard edition due to legal reasons. I'd assume this also applies to aircraft. If I had a 7900x3d I wouldn’t have commented. Eric
