October 6, 20241 yr Does anyone know if FSHUD has a support forum somewhere? I'm liking it so far, but it would be nice to have a place to communicate directly with the developers, other than opening a ticket. Thanks.
October 6, 20241 yr There is no forum (anymore), just Discord. You find the link to their Discord channel right next to the "Support" button in the FSHud main UI.

Hello, By opening the ticket - you talk to developer more directly than ever. Because only developers allowed to review the tickets. 🙂 Moreover, every ticket contains application logs which allows us to give you exact cause of problem and how to solve it. However, you can join our Discord to talk about life, philosophy or political situation in the world...😀 Because reporting issues in Discord like "I've flew somewhere over the rainbow on my unicorn and suddenly FSHud gave me weird vectors" 😁😁 is completely useless information (We don't know where is rainbow and unicorns and unable to reproduce it) - which will ask you to open a ticket (again). Thank you
October 6, 20241 yr Well that is great pity - can't abide Discord! It is one of the more regretable changes in our hobby how these days many developers are largely providing support through Discord. October 6, 20241 yr I am with you Bruce, but slowly getting used to it. A little. The more I use FsHud v2 the more I like it. The map is amazing for taxing and checking traffic on the map and seeing the same plane in front or behind you is cool. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

I'll go the ticket route. Looking down the road, what are the chances of being able to use some of the extras that the native MSFS has, like summoning the pushback guy, and the blue arrows that show the taxi route?

Well - I'm not forcing anyone to join Discord...😁 We opened it few months ago just to keep "in fashion" 🙂 like anyone else. But it has big advantage of instant messaging (something that forums and tickets less effective on). Regarding your question: Blue arrows is closed MSFS functionality which is not completely not possible to "summoning" as you said. Currently we provide panel map, which pretty covers it for longer period. Alternatively - in order to present those arrows, we have to create MSFS object models and present them - this is only the way to achieve it. In terms of pushback guy and ground services - the same story (Asobo didn't provide any way to call it). So in order to achieve it - we need to implement something similar to what GSX gives - by moving tracks, jets and guys on the ground manually. We do have it in future plans - but it will be nice to get some co-operation with GSX - then this feature could be made much more faster. Thank you
October 6, 20241 yr I switched and got used to. I use it every day.

I appreciate that you monitor this forum and are quick to respond to questions. I used Pilot2ATC for several years and spent a great deal of time helping the developer by reporting bugs and testing solutions he came up with. I know that accurate ATC is a very complex thing to try to provide in an add-on program, and it takes time to iron out the problems. I don't mind helping out by reporting problems because the result is a better product for me. I understand what you're saying about the pushback and taxi route functions. Microsoft has never been very good at sharing stuff like that.

October 7, 20241 yr What I dont understand about discord, as far as I know, it's possible to have a forum-like structure, but no one is using it. It's very hard to find information you are looking for in discord, is there a trick to it? It's more like reading a chat...and the same questions are thrown in it over and over again...I guess I just get old

For example FSHud uses these for its suggestions and support forums, so there is a title assigned to each thread. I should add that the support forum is not a substitute for raising tickets - if you ask for help for all but the simplest of queries you'll be asked to raise a ticket so that the developers get more information, including logs.
