  • Might as well get this

  • Why are you trying to criticize people's opinions? It's worthless what you are trying to do.  It's the community who invests money in products and they are all potential customers. That's so

Not my cup of tea but it sure has its audience.

What exactly constitutes the scam?

The German government gave them a grant to release an Airbus A330 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, likely to promote German industry, Lufthansa, or both. On top of that, grants like this don't have just the objective to promote something, but also to support developers (small businesses) directly.

The grant is a modest one, again, it's the equivalent of the salary of 3-4 employees at most. As far as grants go, it's a drop in the sea.

It's extremely unlikely that the German Government required a study-level aircraft. As a matter of fact, it's extremely unlikely anyone who had any influence in giving the grant had the slightest idea of what that means.

The German government is getting what they paid (a rather modest amount) for. So where is the scam?

€70.54????? If that's really the cost then the criticisms are more than justified

LoL 😹 😹 😹 😹

What a mess over at Aerosoft.

This is a shame.

Honestly. If the community is so shocked.....then a company has failed a Goal with this products.

I habe watched some YouTube videos....and I didn't believe my own eyes that this is the level for that price.

Only it doesn't cost that price. Reading the whole thread would probably help.

As for the community being shocked, this community is basically always shocked.

Who in the world said that?it's 25.20 for the current version with one CEO engine.

The complete bundle will cost 37.80 with all engine variants + neo.

Even 25 Euros for a plane that can't proper follow a flight path is to much.

Their is no need to discuss about who is wrong, right or having to high expectations.

Just seeing the comments and to me it's crystal clear that Aerosoft has MISSED a big goal. They have missed their potential customers being happy!

Though they did say they were going to wait for 2024 to release, I wonder why they changed their mind.

Aerosoft probably changed their mind because MSFS 2024 is coming with an A330 and I believe it's made by iniBuilds. Once people get their hands on the iniBuilds A330 in MSFS 2024, there will be even fewer buyers for this Aerosoft A330. That would be my educated guess why Aerosoft is releasing this before MSFS 2024 comes out.

Have you ever stopped to consider that you or I may not be the "potential customers" of this aircraft?

I can pretty much guarantee that there's going to be plenty of people perfectly happy with this, whether you like it or not.

I'm not always shocked. But this did surprise me indeed.

Are you happy with that release? Ok...that's fine. There a lots of potential customers who are clearly not. That's fine too.

Everyone should be able to express their thoughts and what they would like to see happening. Because THATS THE MOST VIABLE and Valuable input a Company van get!

Who would have thought

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I'm confused. People are saying the P3D version of Aerosoft's A330 is much better than the MSFS version.  Couldn't Aerosoft just have ported their A330 from P3D over, and just updated the 3D model?

Well this is Avsim .. the majority (not all) on this forum are looking for the high fidelity aircraft. The pros and cons of major releases from major developers will be discussed and as long as the discourse is fact based lets have it, negative or positive.

Exactly! Good point.
