Aerosoft A330 first looks and reviews

Haven't thrown any hate to them - I just find the release shocking.

What part of it is shocking? The fact that it took long? Happens. Development hell is very common in this industry.

The fact that it's not study level? Also happens. And has happened for decades. Again, not all developers will go for that, and that's fine.

  • Why are you trying to criticize people's opinions? It's worthless what you are trying to do.  It's the community who invests money in products and they are all potential customers. That's so

They were given 500k Euros by the German government to develop this thing, where did it go?

Nah the issue is they've made excellent planes in the past.

€70.54????? If that's really the cost then the criticisms are more than justified

Who in the world said that?it's 25.20 for the current version with one CEO engine.

The complete bundle will cost 37.80 with all engine variants + neo.

In paying developers and employees for 4 years., which considering the situation of the industry today, is a good thing.

Certianlly doesn't look like it.

There's freeware and default aircraft in 2020 that have features this thing is missing.

There's no defending it.

Wow what hot garbage. And they received Half a million dollars to develop it? Lmao what a scam.

Comparing freeware and payware is always a fallacious thing.

Freeware relies on the goodwill of volunteers that are paid zero dollars.

Payware, no matter the quality or the quantity of features, requires employees to be paid. 500,000 euros in 4 years, which means 125,000 euros a year, in a country like Germany, allows you to salary 3-4 developers at best (actually worst, since they wouldn't be paid very well).

"Scam" doesn't mean what you think it means.

Is this a normal release or early access?

Base pack means we can get further expansions with more features and fidelity?

Yeah well that's not too bad at all. That's the price of a decent GA plane. I do think they it needs some work still but it doesn't have to be study level at that price.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

I am confused that it is a more basic aircraft. With all the spoiling and the landing page made for it and years of work. I think they were really shocked bythe inibuild a330 with all variants. Even the -200 I believe. No 200 from aerosoft? And that the inibuild version is probably better than the aerosoft one. So they just rush released it for 2020.(which they stated it would be 2024 only.

Yes, it's clear what's going on here. It's an unfinished product that has been rushed to release because they know it will be hard to sell in 6 weeks when people will have access to the ini A330 as default in FS'24.

Normal release for the CEO base pack - They aren't selling it as an early release. They have mentioned of a "PRO" version with no real information at this time.

For the future we are planning a PRO version (not confirmed yet) with more features, as we had in the past products.

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

Well this is Avsim .. the majority (not all) on this forum are looking for the high fidelity aircraft. The pros and cons of major releases from major developers will be discussed and as long as the discourse is fact based lets have it, negative or positive.

It's actually released already, but from the looks of it you should absolutely avoid buying it.

Several of these items, I don't care too much. But RNAV approach, holds, custom waypoints and terrain on ND are not modeled??? C'mon, the old P3D version (and even the FSX A320 version) had them.

Looks like I'll pass. Anyway, MSFS2024 (and the A330-200 I've been waiting for ages) is just 6 weeks away. If this is like the iniBuilds A320, it will be decent enough for me.

PS: Now that I said 6 weeks, maybe the intention was to grab a bit of cash before MSFS2024 (or a deadline included in the German grant)?

PPS: I can only see the base pack with PW engines. No mention of GE+RR+NEO expansions.
