PMDG 737 Update on the way

Interesting, I am not from the UK but when I tried in the past I think it added taxes, but right now am not certainly sure if my memory is not leaking. Can anyone with the EU can confirm that taxes are not added? Since then the prices wouldn't be that much of an issue.

As a US-based company, I don’t believe PMDG does, (or is required to), add European VAT to the price of their online products. They do not add state sales tax to the price of items purchased by US residents - unlike big retailers like Amazon who do collect state sales tax based on the state of residence of their customers.

They still didn't add the ability ti arm LNAV during an ILS approach, but we have a WX Radar??

I'm trying to understand why you would want LNAV during an ILS approach. Do you mean VOR/LOC and APP? Never seen it used in a go around.

Hi,

I'll have to take a look in my books, just got the latest set dated September 30, 2024. I've never seen it used before, interesting.

Could this be airline specific?

Thanks bob

How is it click bait? Video actually showcasing updated features and changes. I don't think PMDG publishes complete update before  patch is released

He apparently is too lazy to watch a video, and wants someone to take their time to explain all the changes to him.  You can't make this stuff up. 🤣

For a possible go around.

It auto arms…

at least at my airline it does.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Just checked the latest FCOM from Sept. 30, 2024 nothing for LNAV / TOGA, must be airline specific.

In his video, A330 driver says it's not a common option and confuses new pilots when they encounter it as the FMA says LNAV is both active and armed.

It's quite common; at this point it would be the rare operator that doesn't have it.  LNAV auto-arms on the approach (any type of approach, not just an ILS) so that, on TOGA, LNAV becomes active and auto-sequences into the missed approach path. It's a nice workload reduction to have automatic, correct lateral guidance when a crew is given an unexpected "go around, fly the published missed" they weren't expecting. We've had it for at least 10 years.

Hi,

There is no mention about arming the LNAV in the latest FCOM as stated by fakeflyer as if it's done manually by the pilot.
