October 23, 20241 yr Yah, I checked out the Operations Center earlier and was all elated to see it ask for an update, but that's all it was. Just an update for the Operations Center and not the updated for the 737.

At least they are completing what they promised at launch, although in the last days of the current sim version. MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Cant win if your PMDG. People just blatantly use factually false examples to hate now. Nick Running

I dont care if its called PMDG or Fenix or IFLY. Just mentioning facts. MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

Its a big community feature request I don't think its horrible for them to highlight it. Same with Fenix Block2. You can bet that Fenix will hype the sharklets update and again no issue with it. Just seems like a weird way to hate on them when you reference a competitor who basically did the same thing last time they had a huge patch. Nick Running

October 24, 20241 yr https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/332517-24oct24-pmdg-737-for-msfs-major-product-update-just-released-via-operations-center "Why Such A Big Update?: The true value that you acquire along with your PMDG product is our commitment to ongoing improvements in our products. The 737 is now approaching 2.5 years old, but continues to get modernization and improvements that are designed to keep the simulation moving forward as we gain experience working within the MSFS environment. Rather than releasing a few updates months apart and considering a product finished, at PMDG we continue the product improvement arc for years- and in the case of the 737 we are rapidly approaching our 100th build update to the product since it's release in June of 2022. One of the interesting challenges we face with our products however, is how to showcase for you all of the amazing features that we have packed into the simulation. Looking at a simulated airplane on the screen, you may or may not recognize the true depth of simulation value that your PMDG product provides unless we take the time to show-and-tell, so we are beginning an effort to do just that. For example, you might not know that after this update, both the PMDG 737 and PMDG 777 are able to correctly and accurately fly every defined leg-type used in modern navigation. Will you use them all in your simming experience? Most certainly not- but if you fly one of the more obscure leg types during a flight into some far-flung corner of the simming universe, your PMDG product will fly it correctly- and that counts for something. We want to show you these sorts of things because we receive a lot of communication from industry professionals thanking us for the detailed simulation we provide, so it would be a shame if we didn't take the time to show you why the professionals love what we do, too. How detailed and how accurate are we talking? Well, our work is well respected enough that we have licensed our simulation technology to Boeing for use in a major technology project, so if you are looking for completeness, accuracy and realism in your simming, our 737, 777 and shortly 747 series can deliver that in bulk!" I didn't know about them licensing their simulation tech to Boeing... is that old news? Added to 737 Airplane: - Improved IRU drift model - Minimum IAS improvement for VNAV CRZ - Improved taxi handling using lessons learned from 777 development. - Corrected VOR R needle pointer drawing. - Improved flight control handling/feel for all 737 types using PMDG's "fly-by-software" modeling suite. - Improved control feel in ground effect for all 737 types. - Improved TAS / Groundspeed / Wind vector / Position Trend Vector smoothing model. - Robustification of protections against failed tail-number read-in during initialization. - Improved terrain data display brightness interplay. - Converted 737 series to use Navigraph's modern database format (ARINC 424 emulated) - Save/Load functionality improved to protocol v6 (does not affect simBrief but old saved flight plans are not compatible with this build or later) - Significant lateral path improvements to leverage navdata capabilities. - AFDS roll mode control logic improved to leverage lateral path improvements. - Significant vertical path computation improvements yielded from lateral path updates. - AFDS vertical mode control logic improved to leverage vertical path improvements. - Yaw damp logic improved. - VNAV approach control logic improved. - Missed approach lateral path marker with MAP fix. - Removal of stale and deprecated assets and capabilities related to old navdata format. - Implementation of Asobo weather "radar" returns on appropriate displays. (shows Asobo layer, is not actually radar) - LNAV auto-arming to provide lateral guidance for a go-around from a ground based approach (ILS/LOC) Edited October 24, 20241 yr by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
