November 5, 20241 yr As the title suggests what do you people think about flytampa's YSSY? Is it outdated as of now or still accurate to real world counterpart? Although very rare that I buy anything for P3D these days, I am looking to get that as I want start flying old Qantas 747-400 routes in and out of Sydney. Any suggestions?
November 5, 20241 yr Yes, it is good in P3D v5 (do not use it in P3D v4 - frame rate horror), but a very good performer in v5. May want to watch texture resolution if you've not good a good amount of VRAM. Pretty much up-to-date and looks very good. I would recommend. I fly QF 747s out of there a lot, so I'll try and share the runway with you every now and again haha!
November 5, 20241 yr Its very good in terms of details etc. I recently discovered I only had v1 so bought the upgrade and glad I did. I use the lossless scaling application so frames are a non issue. I have yet to fly there IRL so unsure of how up to date v2 is compared to real deal. system i9 10850K NVidia RTX3090 24GB Samsung SSD980 m.2 1TB (x2) Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD Seagate 2TB external drive Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB SSD Asus B460M-PLUS Mobo 32GB GSkill DDR4 3000mhz Ram using P3D v5.3

Yeah V1 I think is older version which was available on both FSX/P3D, v2 is upgraded version for P3D 4/5 only
November 5, 20241 yr V2 is solid. I use it with Cityscape Sydney and Australia v2. Performs well on my modest system and looks great. Orman

For those who have AUS2 the YSSY Land Class layer needs disabling to eliminate horrible texture effects around Sydney. Edited November 7, 20241 yr by Ray Proudfoot Correction Ray (Cheshire, England). November 5, 20241 yr Author Well I got it anyway - looks good and performance is steady on my RIG. All taxiway markings also seem to correlate with current charts which is good sign. Looking forward in doing more flights in southern hemisphere.
November 6, 20241 yr Keep your eyes peeled for the shark in Botany Bay. You might see while you taxi down A to 34L

As you say, it seems to be up to date, at least on the International side, as far as I remember from 2 years ago. My rig has to have settings lowered tremendously, so as not to get an OoM. Where is this texture layer found and what does it correct when disabled? FlyTampa Sydney has two entries in Scenery Library. Check scenery.cfg and change the status of the Land Class layer from Enabled to Disabled. Keeping it active will result in a real visual mess. It will be obvious around Sydney city centre. https://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13356 Ray (Cheshire, England). November 19, 20241 yr Hi Ray, Did you mean this entry in scenery.cfg? [Area.409] Title=Fly Tampa Sydney Local=E:\Lockheed Martin P3D V5.4\FlyTampa\Sydney Layer=409 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Do you mean change "true to false" in active line, you wrote "enabled to disabled"? I can only see one Flytampa entry in this cfg file?
