There is more to (simming) life that one plane that might be missing. And remember: MSFS2020 won't be magically uninstalled when you install MSFS2024 so... what's the problem anyway...!? . I agree with this 100%. The impatience by some here - hard to understand. There is going to be plenty of new stuff in MSFS 2024 to explore to keep everyone busy, before the old stuff becomes fully available in MSFS 2024. For me, the important issue isn't whether default addons from MSFS 2020 will work in the new sim or not, but, rather, whether the old addons can take advantage of whatever new features MSFS 2024 has to offer.
November 6, 20241 yr No Fenix, Maddog X, iFly etc no MS 2024 for me until they are. I'm not in no rush to jump on the 2024 bandwagon.
November 6, 20241 yr The A330s, 737 Max and a couple other aircraft will entertain me in 2024 until the Fenix and 777 are confirmed working I’ll also keep 2020 installed along side 2024 Edited November 6, 20241 yr by Tuskin38
November 6, 20241 yr The idea that a specific aircraft is absolutely needed to enjoy a brand-new flight simulator (even without considering the fact that the assumption that said aircraft won't work out of the box is just that, an assumption) can only come from someone who really isn't passionate about the progress of flight simulation. 🤷♂️ Of course, we all know very well that for some this is just a convenient excuse to fulfill their daily complaint quota. 🤷♂️ Edited November 6, 20241 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

I’ve been passionate about flight sim for 30 years. And aviation. In fact I work in aviation. Just because I can delay a migration to 2024 while I wait for high level planes to be ready doesn’t mean I’m not passionate about flight sim progress. It means I’m capable of being patient. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I'm probably TOO passionate about accurate flight simulation. Since ms98? I waited until this year, almost 4 years after release to get msfs 2020. Only when I was confident that pmdg and a2a would have at least ONE good plane each for it so I could fly fairly realistically ga and commercial. A few others have appeared this year (I'm not an airbus fan or I might have got it earlier for the Fenix) and to me msfs 2020 finally seems to be getting where it always promised to be. Commercially of course, these days once you finally complete a project it's time to release another one and start all over. Russell Gough SE London
November 6, 20241 yr These are certainly funny takes, considering that MSFS 2024 has several aircraft of all types by default, more accurate and simulated in higher detail than 90% (conservatively) of the payware aircraft in other sims. But you do you. 😂 Edited November 6, 20241 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

Precisely, different people have different passions within a passion, that doesn't make them wrong or right it's just what suits them best. Sure MSFS24 will be better equipped on release than 2020, it'll have higher fidelity aircraft from the get go with a load more "things to do", but that doesn't mean everyone must move over on day one as the future is still the exciting part with plenty more to come from both the official devs and the community devs in time. You mention the A300, and nothing we saw today looks lacking in comparison. Edited November 6, 20241 yr by Abriael Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com
November 6, 20241 yr I’ll check it out. Not hard to imagine to be. November 6, 20241 yr Commercial Member Should not the MSFS2020 aircraft work unchanged in MSFS2024 too?

November 6, 20241 yr Oh brother, … “the inferior sim” … just can’t communicate without degradation and the bait for the endless VS. discussions consuming bandwidth and bits. 19 minutes ago, ca_metal said: They should, yes. So you’re advocating the same restrictions as FSX/P3D endured for a decade? Endless compromises and compatibility code cause you want everything you have to work going forward for the next decade? Some of you just have not learned the lesson of progress. Edited November 6, 20241 yr by CO2Neutral
