November 5, 20241 yr Hello everyone, For those who might have missed it, the Just Flight Piper Warrior II has finally received a long awaited update to v0.3.9 released today! This used to be one of my favourite GA aircraft in the sim (biased as I fly them regularly in real life at a club which has a large fleet of them), but I stopped using it because a sim update completely broke the flight dynamics and to be frank it flew like a sack of poop. A new update came out today and I have to say it's much better, actually flies a lot closer to the real thing now and you can stall it properly and perform quite nice floaty landings which you certainly couldn't before! So happy days. Just a heads up in case anyone still owns this and fancies blowing the dust off it for a bit - maybe a break from flying their new super jumbo across continents! November 5, 20241 yr Thanks for the heads-up Tom. I will await it to turn up on the Marketplace. November 5, 20241 yr One big problem I have with JF Warrior is the severe lag from control input to flight change. I pull the yoke, and it takes like seconds before plane pitches up. Banking suffers same lengthy lag. This is of course nothing like the real plane. I can see control surfaces actually respond to my yoke input instantly, so somehow the flight model is just wrong. Will give a update a try tonight. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11

I didn't notice this in my short test flight tonight. It flies quite nicely now and seems quite responsive - well as responsive as a PA28 should, it's no fighter jet! Maybe my control bindings are far from optimal, but the plane felt really sluggish? Again, I will make a reservation for final judgment after I have experimented more with my controls. But after a few quick circuits above my local airport I'm not sure what to think. Will give the 0.3.9 a try! Thanks for the reminder, I tended to ignore the Just Flight "Software Update" email! Vincent B. November 6, 20241 yr Don't know what wrong, but barely unflyable (un-taxy-able) in windy condition (the current in Southern California yesterday and today). I can even roll backward with full power and full deflection rudder. Totally weird. Vincent B. November 6, 20241 yr I had a similar experience. I was not able to keep the plane from fishtailing continuously the entire takeoff run, minimal wind. Back to the bin for me, got too many other nice light singles to fly. -B
November 7, 20241 yr I flew it last night in VR and it doesn't feel right. There is still like a 0.5 second input lag. If I bank right, stop and immediately bank to left, the input lag is very obvious. My guess is maybe the JF is trying to model inertia, but ended up making the movement really just delayed and sluggish. I have close to 80 hours flying the real PA28, both Warrior and Archer. I can say for sure that the real PA28, although definitely more stable than 172, does not have such sluggish/lagging control feelings. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
December 21, 20241 yr I have had this aircraft for months but only got round to flying it this week. I downloaded the latest version. My issue is that on runway centreline and before any power application as soon as I release the parking brake the nose starts a slow slew to the left. The rudder will not correct this swing. i have checked that the rudder is correctly centred at neutral and also have recalibrated my rudder pedals. I don’t have this issue with other similar types ( 152/172 , Mooney etc)….. If I do add any power to take off the thing just swings wildly to the left or right uncorrected by any responding rudder inputs…

December 21, 20241 yr Has it been updated to comply with 2024? What's in the changelog? This was one plane I had my eye on but I've put a hold on acquiring any 2020 planes recently because of this. Russell Gough SE London
