Yeah, noticing that as well, 80% GPU. The spinning circle on the login queue page is buttery smooth. 🤪 Mike...
November 19, 20241 yr OK so we have a bunch of socialist art majors, taking full price $200, that didn't have the business talent & brains to anticipate this launch day surge of use. Poor brainless slobs posing as celebrities, wannabee billionaires but on state funded minimum wage.

November 19, 20241 yr Rebooted after getting stuck at 97%, and now in queue too. I expected some troubles on launch day, but It's microsoft, not a small company, didn't they expect some traffic on servers?

This is not even download spikes; how the heck they can stream the game at peak time ? Sure the server demand will not be much different; some thing do not look right here. I caught a train in the UK this morning. The station I was at didn't have any snow, but just 10 miles to the north there was up to 10cm. A train from the north was announced as late due to severe weather, which had one woman state angrily 'what severe weather, they should see Russia'. No understanding the UK doesn't have enough bad snow to warrant throwing money at snow clearance, when most of the equipment would be sitting idle most of the time. Can a company as big as Microsoft afford the server infrastructure required for those individual big launches? I assume not and am willing to accept day one issues as quite normal. Not even close, it's a game download! I can think of many downloads that put a far larger strain on servers than this game. When Apple releases a new IOS they no longer have problems haven't in a very long time. I'm not going to debate the volume of one vs another but I would be a fool to believe this game is "huge" in the new world of software downloads and software as a service, and also video streaming!

Microsoft must be loaded with money; sure they can afford some extra server capacity at launch days; after all they are in the gaming business; they got sort this mess out once and for all.
November 19, 20241 yr Would’ve been a lot smarter to stagger the release by region then to deal with this circus show. As big as their resources and capacity of mega data servers and cloud computing, yet they still couldn’t get it right. Next time you have an estimate for launch day, … multiply by an additional 10. giving up and retiring for the night. Hope it’s sorted out by morning CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
