It says the download and install aren't available. I've already installed and can't connect, so much for limited.

Funny how the outage started right at 11am.

Currently flying the Fenix A319 LEBL-LIRQ in MSFS20. No issues logging in and scenery looks crisp. I think they're different server infrastructures...

  • EXACTLY the reason I didn't delete 2020. At least I can fly something tonight!

I respectfully disagree....the should have seen it coming and prepared for it.  This is not a piece of $40 software for 12 year olds! Also it appears to me for the foreseeable future good luck pl

Steam has it overwhelmingly negative and its getting bashed all over the net

Oh My.

Geez, they will get it sorted out. It's a game we can all go find something else to do until the server load cools down. The same thing happened for 2020, it was a mess for a time then too.

Something get ting bashed on the interweb means nothing!

I think there's a queue for the queue.

One hour, Ha! I have been trying to install it since 11 a.m. Eastern; it's 4:52. I have been bumped out of the queue four times. I thought the 2020 launch was rough, but this is a true cluster F, especially considering I prepurchased the instant it was possible to do so.

Soooo what was the point of the tech alpha again?

My thoughts exactly.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

6 hours and they are just 'close to resolving the issue'.  A plan B should of all been pre-planned for ahead of time and ready to be implemented.

Well, what made me check is, I was wondering if there were any needed updates in the Xbox or windows store. Windows store has new updates available, but says Oops, there is a problem on our end.

That made me decide to check Xbox server status, since information about what's going on seems otherwise scarce.

Conducting more due diligence, I'm wondering if one of our global adversaries might be a bit annoyed with us, regarding certain recent events that go BOOM!, and is messing with the internet.

I am joking. It’s terrible I need to start out with that being said!

I think MSFS is using the same serves as NetFlix for the Tyson fight. 😉 I am very much looking forward to 2024 Aviator Edition.

It will eventually switch to a server error.

we are getting there, much better than that 97% loading screen. 😃

very nice.

Well I had some fun, but am now in the queue as well.

Tiddly-winks anyone? 😅

So far, I've failed the 'click on the Connect to Xbox' test (fooled by the spinning circle), and I've managed to work round the Steam 'no mouse pointer so can't click on the Microsoft login box' test, but I can't get past the 'Too Many Users 0%' test.

Too many users, not enough Azure. Looking forward to trying again tomorrow, g'night all!

When I purchased 2024 I did not expect, for want of a better word, a 'Time Share'  having to wait for your slot to use it.

The frustrating thing is I bought it at 4pm UK time immediately as it was launched and had it installed within 10 minutes.  Surely that would place me high up the queue?

Waited for 4 hours at 97% and after restarting now stuck in endless login queue loops.

Giving up for this evening, wasted 6 hours on this mess of a launch.

I assumed scale issues would be solved by "more money for more servers" these days. Maybe they're trying to avoid that by finding other ways to optimize it, now that they have the actual traffic to look at?

Alas, we can only speculate 😞

I, too, experienced the spectacle for about an hour and then shut it down before getting back to work, like an word not allowed. I even had the thought, "I wonder how quickly it'll launch the second time?" after having just endured the hours-long installation. To be fair, it did get me to the "too many users" screen quite speedily...

You get back here now!

that's exactly what those Americans are hoping!

hold the line!

I am struggling to believe this is actually happening! usually you can't download a big title on launch day, but this time it's already downloaded! Sure, it will all work itself out in the end but come on.... first world problems I know... 🤷‍♂️
