Really good feedback in this thread! The gist that I get is that concerning flight modeling and ground handling, MSFS 2024 is vastly superior to MSFS 2020. And while I am not a real life pilot, I am basing it off of the feedback of many real life pilots cited in this thread.

They just have to fix the streaming and server issues, plus a lot of bugs from this release. I am confident that the MSFS team will sort it out. But you can see the base is there, and the base is brilliant!

Nobody is denying 2024 has issues with streaming at the moment.  I had just slewed to that location and commence flying again.

Highlighting that, in an image showing how good the clouds and lighting are in 2024, really shows you have no interest at all in the improvements.

It is only day 2 from the release of 2024.  The issues have been acknowledge and the first hotfix is on the way.  2024 has improved many features over 2020, so I am quite dumbfounded why you are on a mission to trash 2024.  I posted an image of rocks previously (repeated below) which you dismissed as an easy thing to do in blender - why is this relevant?  No third party developer is going to spend the next thousand years manually adding rocks/pebbles/stones to 2020/2024, so what is the point in trashing the advancement of creating them automatically?  The terrain is factually more advanced than the terrain in 2020 so why do you feel the need to defend 2020 to those of us who have loved 2020 since release?

Dawns and dusks with the new lighting and clouds, in HDR, is a joy to behold.

Large aircraft are actually hard to turn now without be vectoring your thrust.
 

In 2020 I could go full turn on the nose wheel and still move with enough thrust, now you’ll just halt

I think you should take a break from the forums.  I have 2024 running quite well.  I'm well aware not everyone has the same experience.  Just because I have it running doesn't mean I'm delusional or a nut case.  2024 looks vastly better than 2020 when it works.  Hopefully Microsoft and Asobo can get their servers running better.  It's definitely not acceptable at the moment.

To be fair, if I had looked at that screenshot and seen that blurry area in the foreground, I would have been more concerned about that than how good the clouds and lighting are. We all see things differently, and what is not important to one user can mean everything to someone else.

EDIT: On the plus side, the new improved ground features (rocks/pebbles/grass) look superb. I really do hope that all of the launch issues with MSFS 2024 can be resolved, to a point where I can be confident that I would not experience blurry ground textures (or partially loaded scenery) at any time during my flights.
